    Have you heard of any tips or tricks, FOW, bait etc. Let me know, if you are willing to share.

    …Or if you have had any luck with crappies on other local lakes near Nisswa….I would appreciate any reports.

    Thanks to everyone who replied! Thanks to work, I will be delayed getting my son out til next weekend. BUT I am sure the tips I was given will help us boat some fish! If anything changes in the fish activity please let me know.

    Trolling with him is questionable. I have heard when trolling cranks you’ll get snagged in the rocks on Mille Lacs. Our fishing outing might be cut short without any rods. I just want to keep him fairly busy, i have alot more patience than him. He has taken a liking to the outdoors, and I want to keep feeding that desire.

    My cousin is going to be loaning me his boat: 185 Crest fishhawk lowrance gps (model?) it does have a chip if this helps trolling motor ap70? and a 115hp main motor. A few years ago when i had a boat i visited LOTW quite often and this lake could rear it’s ugly head too!

    P.S. my son is young…he has patience with panfishing so I am testing the water so to speak.
