I have a similar problem with my 522. I have a thin piece of tagboard or matchbook cover wedged in on top of my chip, between the outside of the chip and the plastic over it. This seems to solve the problem for me.

I had it out with lowrance over this issue in may with the same outcome, can’t fix it but will be mor than happy to take another pile of cash of your hands-100% B.S.

Hope this fixes it for you.

A little off topic, but keep in mind that on those rainy days when some of you go to the Casinos for lunch, or to pull a one-armed bandit for a while, what you really are doing is shooting yourselves in the foot. Indian Lawyers/Lobbyists are paid for with that money…just something to consider.

The drive definitely stinks. We left Oak Harbor around 4:00 pm, didn’t make it back to West Salem until 2:00AM, my butt was seriously draggin after getting pounded by 4-6 footers for 8hrs and then 10 hrs of driving.

I was out saturday for a few hours, surface temp was 43.8-44. There was a ton a junk in the water, wood, weeds, and garbage. I did not do good at all, two white bass was it. Lots of flow. Hope this helps, good luck, hope you feel better

Congrats BK, I hope everything keeps going good for you. I am almost at 1 year(March 5) without chewing. After doing it for 20+ years it was a very tough task. I quit cold turkey after a scare from the dentist, but I did not deny the access to it. I carried a can in my coat for almost three months, still have one in my toolbox at work, and I think there is one in my ice fishing coat, found that one looking for waxies. I figured that way if I really needed it I had it. I haven’t yet, although the gum and candy have been getting hit hard. And even with all the candy and gum still cheaper than chew. So hats off to you and everyone that has or is quitting, stay strong and good luck.

Nice fish Gutone. How did the ice hold up from all the rain? Haven’t made it over there yet this year. Was the access alright?

Bret, I did meet you at the sport shop one evening back in september, I was headed out fishing with the family and was picking up some bait. I drive a maroon f-150sc say high if you see me.

I live just off the lake so I can keep a pretty good eye on things from my house. Will keep informed on action or lack there of.

Checked out lake neshonoc in west salem about 11:00a.m., 99% iced over. There was no ice yesterday, what is there is only about a quarter inch, it would not hold any weight yet. With the cold temps and it being skinned over it shouldn’t be too much longer.

I don’t know if this will help, but I fished the upper part of P8 saturday abd sunday P.M., the weeds were terrible on the east side of the river but the west side was very good. It was almost like being on two different rivers.
As far as fish only caught a few small saugers, but I had the kids along so it was not hardcore by any means. Hope this helps.

I’ve got them and I like them alot.

They aren’t for everyone. Some people don’t like how they sit near your face when you draw, you need to have a drop away rest, they don’t fit every arrow, and some people just resist change.

I use them with the accunock and I think they are great. They stabilize very well, fly very well and are very versatile. Vanes can tear, peel off etc and you can’t fix that in the field, but I can carry a pair of FOB’s in my bag for emergencies. I’ve never shot through brush so tight I worried about if my FOB would clear something a vane wouldn’t. In fact I think the FOB has lower clearance, but is more rigid.

I say try them out. You might be surprised. IF you don’t like them, you will find someone who will buy them. Many people will even send you a couple to try just to “pass it on”.

I’ve been shooting a Trufire Hurricane since I started a couple years ago, but I’m considering the Tru Ball short and sweet or the Carter Quickie for my next release. I like the open hook design and the compact design. Price is higher for both, but compared to the release I have, I understand why.

I’m picking up my new camper on saturday morning, but while they do some work on my truck running some wires and installing the brake controller, I plan on taking my girls (8 and 6 yrs old) out for a walk with my turkey calls to hopefully let them see or hear some birds.

I’ve brought the fixed blades along in the past but wasn’t offered a shot. If I do bring the bow in the future I plan on using my rage 2blade.
I am very interested in the headshot broadheads, but I haven’t tried them yet. I hope to in the future.

Just a little note about the 3.5″ers. My buddy bought one last fall and said it took alittle getting used to the long stroke on the pump.

The fit of the shotgun is one of the most important part of buying a shotgun. You could buy the best gun on the market but if it does’t fit you you will not be happy with the results, both of hits and felt recoil. I have shot a fair amount of trap, and you will see somebody with a red cheek every so often and chances are the gun is not fitting correctly. Bottom line find the gun that fits good then worry about the details.

As far as barrel length the above posts pretteyt much say it all. You will get a little more velocity out of a longer barrel but unless you shoot a lot I doubt it will be noticeable. Make sure it has choke tubes.

    Good luck
