I am running a 20ft tuffy with a 225 on the back. you just have to keep the motor trimmed up until you get out a liitle ways. Just make sure you dont go too far to the right when leaving the harbor.
How do you get 2500 hours? Well I fish over a 100 days out of the year. Boats in the water more then its out. I dont have a kicker on right now and i use my main for trolling
I would go suzuki hands down. I have owned both and the suzuki walks all over yamaha performance wise. Hole shot and top end are excellent and I have had my suzuki DF 225 hp for two and half years and its never been in the shop and the last time I checked it had well over 2500 hours on her and she never misses a heart beat. just my two cents
spring is here finally spent the last three days on pool four and just had a blast. I mostly pitched BFT ringworms and K-grubs on 3/32 or 3/16oz H2o jigs. Had quite a few dandys including a 9.8 and a 10.4 prespawn piggies. All I can say is that new cotton candy ringworm and K-grub are a hit in my boat. The next week should be on fire with the water temps rising and water levels stable. Well thats all for now. Cant give all my secrets out or Don will kill me… Tight lines and hope to see you down there. Will post some pics later…computer problems
Braink one of these days I will have to get you in the boat and chase some kittys. THat fish there is my biggest of the year so far. Just cant seem to get Don to come to the dark side
I like using St.Croix 6’9″ ML AS69MLXF and 7’6″ ML AS76MLXF for pitching plastics and hair jigs. They have a soft tip with alot a backbone to drive the hook home. The extra length allows me to cast light jigs a country mile. They are also a good rod for dragging and live bait rigging.
