Thanks for the update Bill. I placed a order with Wade and asked a couple questions but got no response. Began to worry something was wrong. I guess the order will be a little late.

I was up and looked over French and Roberds Sunday afternoon. Absolutely no one on the ice. I didn’t get out and check the ice but one of my buddies did on Sat and he says 2 and 1/2 inches of ice. I will stay with hitting the backwaters of the Mississippi as there is 5 inches or better if you watch where your goin

Marcum has a two year warranty as does Vexilar.
I have a LX-5. It is the only flasher I have ever had. We were on the ice with it last week and I had a ball watching fish come in and hit the bait. You could even see some come close then zoom up out of the cone.

Head down the West Newton road and the ramp turnoff will be just off to your left and not to far down the West Newton road. I used it Tuesday and as Slayer says a little steep but it is handy. Very short run to the dam. I would call it a single ramp but not sure what you mean by double.

I will be the naysayer on this rainsuit. For sure I don’t like it as a rain outfit for trout fishing. Even though it breathes it is hot, and not much relief as the sleeves are elastic. I tore the pants the very first time out on a piece of barb wire. I don’t even carry them in the boat. I use a regular rainsuit that cost about a hundred bucks. I would put another 20 to 30 bucks together and get your son a real rain suit.
    Just my two cents worth.

I blew a wheel bearing last year and ovaled the hub before I got it home. I had a buddie bearing on but it flew off and I didn’t realize it until of course disaster struck. My own personal lesson here was having ruined the hub it didn’t take rocket science to convince me to just carrying a extra hub. At 35 dollars with any problems on the road from here on out I will be back on the road in no time. There is no replacement for good maintenance, but the extra hub keeps me on the road
