Just be careful. I talked to the DNR officer when I got back for redwing and he said the ice is still thin. Few people have gone thru.

Nice fish, Mike! Wish my day would have gone better – hard to catch fish when your boat’s filling w/ water!

Got to live on the edge Pete. Been having issues with mine also. That day I seen you guys on the lower end of the pool I had water in my boat dang near up to the floor before realizing it. Theres a crack in the drain pipe to my live well. Been running the bilge pump a lot the last few trips out but Im going to need to take a afternoon to pull up the floor boards and see whats going on with this.

Hey mike can you post what you find out with that pipe/hose. I have had that same problem twice now and the dealer tells me its from water that froze in there from running it over the winter months. I am kinda curious to see how and what you fixed it with.

I wish we had that Jim guy working at everts. That way I would be able to pick any spot I wanted there. Now I am on a waiting list to get in there.

We keep the camper there all winter and stay in it all winter. As far as I can see us and 1 other guy used the campers this winter. I think where the camper sits the water needs to hit 10 before we need to move it/the water hits the tires.

I have heard the reason why is beause it cost the same as the tropy and they were just not selling them. People were taking the tropy over the tournament model. Just what I have heard.

Some friends of ours went to Mexico every year over Christmas. The trip was the gift, family time.

I think they were on to something.

I tried to get our family to everts for Christmas. It didn’t happen because I would be in the boat the whole time. I guess I will try for next year.

Man I wish I would have known that trick. I had one on my knee and I used ice and a pair of side cutters. I must have got deep enough because it hasn’t come back. Wow did it bleed.

    Thanks Beaver E

The scuttlebutt I heard was that you could take 8 a day, 4 had to be under 15, but the other 4 COULD be over 15. The talk was also about doing away with the 20″ slot so your 4 big fish could be over 20″ if you wish. Posession limit of 24 fish was also being discussed. jerr
Added: reason being the recent high water discharges have decimated the baitfish populations and the fish are very underweight again.

    I have heard the samething.

We also prefished friday and I worked everything from the damn down to the head of the lake. We opted to fish up by the damn and it somewhat paid off for us as we took 7th. Hair jigs and minnows worked best for us as well. We missed a lot of fish and I mean a lot. We had a hard time breaking that 13.5in fish as well but managed to get a couple nicer ones. It was a great tourny eric and I plan on fishing it next year. thanks a bunch.

Started to do some tiling out in the field and I dug down 5ft and it was dry as a bone. I would keep watering the trees.
