Sounds like fun to me. Thanks for the report. If I can get out of some stuff, maybe I can go fishing.

Thanks for the update Dave. Between trying to find water and watchin wrecks, did you catch any fish?

I have caught a lot of fish over the last 62 years but I have never SEEN a gill like that. That’s one for the ages.

Oddly enough Fish, it is on my wall. It’s 5 pounds off the Florida state record but it caused a lot of excitement when I brought it in to weigh. It ended up in several newspapers around Kissimmee. I say “Good Morning” to it every day when I walk into my office.

That pig weighed in at 14 pounds 3 ounces, caught at West Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL back in the black and white days.

I’d like to see a system that is not brand specific, downloadable, accurate, and sells for under $100 bucks.

No Lancer, your dad was in another boat. Jim walked backwards off the rear casting deck to avoid the snake and collapsed my spinner bait box and then went looking for the .22.

When I was a young man, that pool was the frontier of fishing for those in the Quad Cities area. There was a weekly tv show on about two guys that only fished up at Prairie. You can fish for anything in that pool. Good walleye, largemouth, panfish, northerns, you name it.

Had a water snake do that to us years ago at Dresbach. Only thing we could figure is he was attracted by the heat of the motor or the boat itself. He came in over the transom of the Ranger and my buddy wanted to waste him right in the boat with the .22 and birdshot.

Sometimes I really miss Iowa where the only professional teams were the Hawkeyes, Cyclones and Panthers.

Robby we’ll get this figured out. First you must save the picture to a file you can get later. Then you can attach the file to your post and it should show up. Otherwise you will have to contact a site admin type guy or web master

You should be able to get a pair of polarized clip-ons for $40 to $50 bucks and the work great. I picked up a custom pair for $40 in Florida this spring for snook fishing.

Robby, send the picture on the phone to your email account and then send it in to this site. Should work and we would love to see the fish.

Congratulations. I can count the number of bass over 6 pounds caught in the river on no fingers. If you took one out of 13, you deserve a reward. That’s one hell of a river bass. Pictures?????

If you have really worked the area with a variety of techniques and they still have lockjaw, bail and come back later.

People, it was that way when I came in and it will be that way when I go out unless we of a common mind and opinion stand up and together tell the politicians that we have had enough and if they don’t abide by OUR wishes, we will throw their sorry asses out of office so quick their heads will spin. Nothing less will work. They have a sweet deal with the tribes and they don’t want anything to rock that boat.
It will take the tens of thousands of fishermen and outdoor people to collectively put a stop to this travisty. That’s just my opinion. I may be wrong.

We have had great luck with blue/black (more garlic than a Ceaser Salad) on 5A with smallies but unfortunately the sheepshead like ’em too.

I might as well sign up although I don’t know where I would put them. My wife has made several suggestions but they all would be painfull.

    Hey Blue Fleck,
Is the Dresbach Motel still open or did it fall over?
