Best move Vikings could have did!! People seem to forget all his stupid fumbles and the guy could never sense pressure coming up from behind him… I look at it this way… I fish Lake Minnetonka from time to time and it is just one less person on the lake taking up room and not fishing! Cheers to Wilf!

Last season I tried the new Calcuta Mono and was VERY happy with the outcome. I have been a Trilene person all my life but was not happy with it the last couple years so I switched. I am VERY happy I did, it seems to be more abrasion resistant and great hook setting! I have already switched two of my buddies to Calcuta Mono… It’s the new line for me!!!

February 16, 2006 at 1:30 pm #421134Thanks Everyone! Have any of you had good Success with another Dealer? I am Fed up with Link Rec. I really would not set foot into that place again! Believe me this is the second boat that I have bought from them since 2000 and I could tell you a few more stories that would keep you from buying from them! They are full of BS!
February 14, 2006 at 4:43 pm #420503I could use some help here… I have a 2003 115 HP 4 Stroke Merc. Last spring I started having problems. It would try to cut out at top speed. I bought my Rig at Link Rec in Rogers and brought it back in there for warranty. The told me I most likely have a plugged injector and only put injector cleaner in it. The told me if they have to replace the injectors it is not under warranty? This is crap to me? What can I do? Mercury web site does not have any contact info to call them directly? My motor manual says to only use 87 octane so that is what I have done from the begining, Link told me to use 92 octane because it’s cleaner gas. All I have done is go by the manual from the time I bought my rig new and I am getting shafted because of it. New injectors from Link is like 200.00 a piece and the guy there said there is no way to tell which one is bad so you will have to replace them all! AM I GETTING SCREWED HERE? And I cant get ahold of Merc to find out if they will tell Link to fix it? WHAT THE HECK DO THEY EVEN GIVE YA A WARRANTY FOR???? PLEASE HELP!!!

January 25, 2006 at 6:05 pm #414508Just my take on it… Wheel House owners might not like it BUT because of what their needs are the resorts should be able to make more off of them. If they dont like it they have the option of going out of a public access instead of using the resort! OH WAIT… How can you drive out of a public access in a truck pulling one of these??? Well there you go you need a plowed road! Looks like the thing to think about is this… You cant get to where you want to in one of these without a plowed road, So go ahead resort owners make what you can! If the owners of these houses dont like it they can spend the money that they would pay for your access to buy a plow for the front of their truck and some chains and go use the PUBLIC ACCESS FOR FREE… FYI A new plow for your truck so you can save a lil $$ by not paying a little more at the resorts will only set you back about $1900.00!! No one take offence, this is just my opinion… sooo… a little more at the resort each time out OR $1900.00 and go out a free access??? Hmmmm
January 17, 2006 at 7:45 pm #412563Two words for ya… Flamingo Reef! I went up Friday night with a friend. We both have places at Agate Bay. Friday night we went to his house at Flamingo reef at about 7:30. The bite was very slow as we were just off the side of the reef in 22′ of water. We were getting no action so we decided to drill a couple of holes about 20 yards away in 16′ feet. It stayed quiet till about 11:00 when a rattle wheel in the house went down at about 11:00 which was a 22″ Walleye. I went out at 12:30 to ummm get rid of some beer and the flag went up on the tip up. WOW what a fight in the middel of the night outside in the dark, 29.5″ PIG! Yes I have a pic but I do not know how to put it up on here (Could use some help)anyways… Nothing the rest of the night. The next morning we drilled more holes in the 16′ range before sun up. Was the right move… Within putting in one of the tip up’s we had a 26 incher and as soon as we released another flag went up and had a 24″ we caught 9 Walleyes total before 9:00am. Worked on my place most of the afternoon and had an early dinner before going back out Saturday night. We stuck with our pre drilled holes and were content. We had no bites during sunset. We decided to crash around 1:00am We were woken up at 1:30 with the rattle reel in the house SCREAMING… My buddy jumped up and all he had to do was grab the line… Fought for about 10 Min and what do you know our second 29″ of the weekend. I have fished the pond my whole life and have had good success on catching my share of PIGS. BUT that was a first that both of us caught 10Lb class fish on the same weekend!
WHAT A BLAST! I am not the type to keep secrets and belive anyone deserves a chance like I do, so I will tell anyone who ask’s where I catch them. SO… for me it was Flamingo Reef this weekend! I hope Bobber reads this… I know he would be proud! ALSO if someone could PM me and tell me step by step how to upload the pics it would be helpfull!January 13, 2006 at 3:03 pm #411577They try to show you how AMAZING this thing holds up in a crash… What I find is AMAZING is if they are so big on this car, Why was it driven by remote control? Where was an actual driver? What a bunch of whimps! Thats why I like fishing… I’ve yet to run across a 20 Ton cement wall in the middle of Mile Lacs in my Smokercraft!
January 3, 2006 at 9:55 pm #408811The name Farmboy… And living that close to Iowa… I understand how you mind could go there! HaHaHa Look at it as a Bumper Condom? For safe driving?
January 3, 2006 at 8:48 pm #408776I was told when I got the exhaust on my truck (Chrome Tips)
To put Vasilene on them during the winter months. It puts a layer of protection on the chrome. As it wears off of course you will need to add more BUT… it does work!December 22, 2005 at 7:43 pm #406108What part of the lake are you planning to fish? If you go out the East side, go to Hunters Point. They have roads plowed and would be very helpfull in you finding what your looking for!
Best of luck to ya!

December 8, 2005 at 8:31 pm #402373Thank you Sir! It’s always good getting the first one out of the way! I’m no longer a IDA Virgin!
I do not have a good way for you to get it cleaned off BUT once you do have it clean put out some plastic OWL DECOYS! The birds will go out of there way to stay away from it and they might even stay away from your yard all together! It has worked around my place for squirrels! Give it a shot!December 8, 2005 at 5:21 pm #402288Paint your house Gold and cheer for the Vikings?
Just a thought!
