We were down there on Sunday and produced the same results as you. We Trolled 4 lines from 6:00a to 2:00p and not one walleye or sauger to show for it. Probably the slowest fishing I have seen in a while. The areas we fished were point No Point to the head of the lake, Maiden Rock Flats area, the wisconsin side from pine river down to Stockholm, and from Central point back up to Long point. We changed baits, speed, depth range, every thing we could think of. You do see a lot of bait fish so I’m sure the eyes and saugs are well fed. I don’t think the cold front helped matters.

The only action we had all day was from white bass. Right about when were going to wrap up trolling we saw hundreds of of them surfacing/feeding. We followed them around for awhile casting into the schools and ended up catching one about every third cast.

Anyone else fish Four this weekend?

We’ll be there Saturday morn and plan on trolling all day. We’ll probably be startin out around Point No Point or the Maiden Rock area. If the fish aren’t cooperating in either of those places we’ll probably check out the steep WI Shoreline across from Long point. We might have to slip down to the Maple Springs area and check it out.

We were there on Saturday. Fished from 3:00p-7:00p. We ended up catching 6 eyes 3 saugs and a 3 lb Flathead. Most the eyes and saugs were between 18″ and 20″ with a couple scrubs to boot. We trolled Maiden Rock and worked 7′-12′. Most to all of our fish came out of 11′. They were caught on bright colored #5 jointed shad raps, one was caught on a spinner and a leech. Our Speed was anywhere from 2.5-3.5 mph. Picked up most fish at the higher end of our speed range.

The action wasn’t too terribly fast, but it was still fun. I think if you did a little searching you could find some more aggressive fish we didn’t look anywhere else besides where I have mentioned.

If I were going to hit pepin this week or any later into the summer I would start checking some deeper locations. Start by trolling lead core or long lining this deeper water. If you happen to find some fish make note of the location and keep hitting that area or maybe drop in on them with some live bait.
