The best way for me to sleep was in a recliner.. Have you figured out the issue of cleaning your own butt yet.. SMILES! That in itself was interesting to me… I had my daughter there to help me on and off the pot but she was 13 and no way was she gonna wipe my butt.. Me and a few friend started a support group for men and woman in the Northwest Arkansas area. I would recommend you find a local support group to help you through the first year and then you can become a mentor for others! It is very rewarding. We just met in one of our homes once a month till we outgrew that, then we approached a local hospital to see if they would let us have our support group meeting in a meeting room and they did and now they provide our drinks and snacks. We ask doctors to come and speak and dietitions and such.. We have clothing swaps and we meet for lunches twice a month or so.. It is great… On the clothes subject.. If you go and buy new ones everytime you need new clothes then you will have spent more on them than you did you surgery cost in less than a year.. Soo i would suggest you getting in touch with a local clothes closet and tell them your situation and they will help you out.. You drop so fast those first several months everything will be baggy and hey isnt baggy the style these days for the youth…lol you can just say your in fashion when your pants are so loose that you are showing your boxers.. hee hee hee.. Thanks to all who privately emailed me about my success.. I have the honors of attributing that to the Great One Above.. Without him I would not have gotten through it all..

Bill, I have been going to Cosomotology School.. go figure .. me 43 back in school.. I would have never done this without the surgery. I was to shy and scared.. but soon i will be graduating and not sure what I will do then.. Thinking about taking Instructors School… I am a bit to old to stand 8 hrs a day in a salon. But who knows.. Whatever I do I am going to be selfish with my time.. I have been asked to work at several shops in the area but refuse cause I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO BE OFF ON WEEKENDS TO FISH…. We still go every weekend.. I just cant work weekends..

I have had the gastric bypass.. I had the RNY proceedure.. I had it in April 2001. I am in better health than I have been in years… I have lost a total of 230 lbs.. Was 430 when I went into surgery.. In all reality I lost more weight than that.. I got rid of a 210 lb man that ruled my life for 22 yrs and told me that I would never be desired by another.. That was after he had made so depressed with my life that I went from a size 12 (165) to a size 32/34 womans (430 lbs).. Yes I know that I held the fork.. but when you have no control of anything else in your life and you can control that food that goes into your mouth it is the thing you turn to.. at least I turned to.. Soo now at age 43, in a great relationship, quit my boring job at the hospital doing medical coding and billing, returned to school but this time to be a cosmotologist.. Not the greatest job on earth but something I love doing.. I love working with elderly, handycapped and obese ppl that no one wants to give services to because they are different.. I was once the different one.. I know the feeling.. SSSSOOOOO BIG D.. My prayers and thoughts are with you.. I honestly can say I know what you are dealing with and know the changes that will happen in your life in a few short hours on the table.. But trust me it is all well worth it… Where are you having it done? What proceedure? By the way.. all that remember me buying an underwater camera, Well it is great!!! We love it.. Been on the lake every weekend now since the first weekend of the year.. I never knew fishing could be such fun and relaxing..

We used the camera on sunday. We had a bit of a time seeing underwater but the water was very very muddy. We could see when we hit bottom just had trouble with seeing going down. Mike thinks we will have better luck at a different lake. It is much cleaner.
I actually out fished Mike on sunday but we are not talking about that..
He did not catch a thing.

My dad got out of the hospital yesterday, in two weeks he will go to a different hospital and get a wire hooked to his heart so that every time he goes out of beat it will shock the heart to normal. I guess it is like a pacemaker but not the same.

Well just wanted to give you all the update on the camera and dad.. And brag a bit about me out fishing Mike.. hee hee hee

Thanks to all that are sending out prayers. Dad is a bit better but his heart wont go back into a normal beat. They have put him on meds to reset the heart beat. If that dont work by monday they will shock the heart to see if that will work. He actually looks a lot better today than he did on thursday.

The camera is charged and ready for the lake as soon as we can sneak away.

Steve, I found you all while looking for an underwater camera. Liked what I have seen here and decided to stay. Am thinking of taking a trip this year to fish in MN. I hopefully will be one of the ladies that will “OUT FISH” my man… hee hee hee hee But please dont tell him this.. SMILES!

I GOT THE CAMERA LAST NIGHT!!!! WE HOOKED IT UP IN THE HOUSE AND SHUT OFF THE LIGHTS AND IT LOOKS GOOD. I CAN NOT BELIEVE HOW CLEAR IT IS AND THE IMAGES ARE GREAT. THAT WAS JUST TRYING IT OUT AT HOME BEFORE CHARGING IT. I CANT WAIT TILL THE WEEKEND…

ONLY ONE SAD THING…. MY DADDY HAD A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK YESTERDAY AND WE WERE THERE TILL 1130PM AND GOT HOME AND WILL HAVE TO GO BACK ON SATURDAY. I LIVE IN MISSOURI AND HE IS IN ARKANSAS.. SOO I MIGHT HAVE TO PUT THE FISHING ON HOLD OR DO SOME LATE NIGHT SAT OR SUN AFTERNOON..
DAD IS DOING BETTER. JUST HAVE TO GIVE HIM TIME TO GET HIS STRENGTH BACK AND HEAL. HE WAS SO SCARED BECAUSE A YEAR AGO WE LOST MY MOM DURING A HEART CATH AND HE WAS SO SURE HE WOULD DIE YESTERDAY.. BUT THANK THE LORD HE IS STILL WITH US!!!!!!

No camera yet. I was hoping to get it by tomorrow. That is his birthday. I am so excited about it. It has been raining all day and he decided to take the day off tomorrow.. I wish it was here now so I could be sneaky and hide it..

He did not get one fish. Just found out today that the Fish and Game/Conservation had come in on Saturday and shocked the lake to get walleye eggs and fish count. Sooo no one did well. He was really disappointed. I am sure he will do much better this next month. I am going with him for the next few weekends. I am really looking forward to the R/R time. I love the water. It is so quiet and just relaxing. Also, cant wait to use that camera. I think I will enjoy it as much as him. Maybe I will out fish him…
