Proud Ranger owner here! Owned 3 of them in the last 5 years a 617, 619, and 620. Not a wealthy person by any means and proud I have earned what I have worked for. The proudest factor (besides my wife and daughter), Im 35 years old owned 3 Rangers and my reward for working hard…no payments…all of them have been paid for. Never will own a new one but you can find deals.

It can be done boys!!! Chase your dreams

I agree going from tin to glass is the best switch i have ever made. Not to mention the resale of the Ranger keeps my hard earned greenbacks in my pocket EVERY time I sell and upgrade to a newer Ranger

    Yes, I agree.

or maybe charge the officers with something, or at a minimum walk them out the door with their personal effects.

what right does an officer have to come into your private property and shoot your dog?

i’ve got an answer for them – Private Property, do not enter.

what if the homeowner would have come outside with a weapon after hearing the commotion and seeing the suspect being attacked? would the police have shot her too?

just another one of many bad shoots by cops these days.

Your private property should have signage stating “Criminals welcome, please use as your own private sanctuary!” “Don’t worry, police not welcome!”

Who shot the cows? Was it the sharphooters? Or did someone else shoot them (maybe not associated with the dnr like a hunter who is upset about this process) and they just happen to do it in the area where they are sampling deer?

Don’t get me wrong if they did shoot it they should be held accountable. But I am not jumping the gun on vague information

If you have not tried the GoPro camera yet it is worth a look. I picked one up about a week ago and so far very impressed! Extremely clear video and pics. I did go with the HD version so not sure how the standard version compares.

If you want ease of towing but 8′ wide try the Floe with a Protektor cover. They are not as tall inside which can be a little hassle but they are quality. I have a 12′ model, very light, I can move around unloaded by myself. A larger model you may not be able to move as easily but it would still be very light.

You do NOT want steel!!! Rust will be a problem very fast. My buddy and I both have had steel and both agree never again. If I remember correctly you have a diesel, go with 8′ wide it won’t help you tow any easier going with the 7′ model. Hunting and fishing more room is golden, I would not settle for a more narrow setup.

The only other reccomendation I can offer would be a unit with a ramp door in the front and back. The protektor cover is the gull wing where the front and back open individually so you have to move the ramp around to the front for front unload. A little extra work but not too bad. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I personally like lower sides on the boat even though I fish big water like the river, mille lacs, rainy lake etc. I have owned two rangers first being a 620 and now I actually downsized to a 617. I kept going bigger and bigger with boats and horsepower and really did not need it and I do some tournament fishing ( I do not have any sponsors). I have fished out of about everything out there, nothing wrong with Skeeter, but after owning two Rangers I will likely never be without one. I would not rule out a lund in the future however.

Give Al’s Specialty a call their service is top notch also! They advertise on this site also

I have a ranger 620 full windshield and stay almost completely dry. I have been very impressed with the speeds I can travel at on rough water with a very smooth ride. I would recommend this boat to anyone if you use it alot it helps justify the cost.

Thanks for the help guys! If anyone needs a customer service job I would give you a good reference

The part I need is the bearing assembly that connects the top and bottom pistons. The top piston has a threaded rod inside and the bottom has a bearing assembly that threads into it. The bearing assembly on mine broke where it threads into the bottom piston.

It was explained to me that you need to have nmea connection between units to share waypoints. Ethernet is for sonar and temp only.

Sounds to me you did not have adequate gps signal from the sattelites being you lost your signal meter and the H20 would not work either.

Minnesota already has this, and has for years. It is under the speed statue and called “basic speed”. You can be given a citation for speed without the use of a radar. It really does not change anything here

Not sure if it matters but I have a 2004 620. I used this bracket (cheaper minnkota bracket) This allowed me enough clearance to deploy the motor. Sorry if this is the bracket you already tried. I also went from a cable drive to the terrova. Hope this helped

Normal from what I have seen with mine as well. Advanced auto pilot relies on waypoints projected out in front of the boat, in waves and rough water your boat is moving out of position more than you realize I believe.

The motor is compensating for the movement. You see the side to side action because the base of the motor is moving out of position in relation to the head of the motor so it turns to compensate for the smallest misalignment. Very accurate system from what I have seen with mine so far.

One other thing than can cause unnecessary corrections would be a weak gps signal. You can check that by the signal meter on the handheld display.

I absolutely love the ipilot and terrova. They hit a home run in my book so far with this system. I have been telling my friends this is the best thing to come out for a boat since the sonar.

Hey Minnkota how about a sponsorship

You may have already checked this, but if not make sure when you have the prop symbol on that you also have a prop speed setting above 0 (zero). If not turn the prop on and hit the + button to increase prop speed.

Other than that I would say there is a malfunction in the unit somewhere.

I have an 04 225 Evindrude DI (not etec). I have no complaints so far. I changed the plugs last year and still going this year. I was told there is not a huge difference between etec and the DI motor.

I did alot of checking before purchasing this boat/motor from a private sale. A couple dealers said that it would be a good motor and I would like it. So far so good!

I read the initial problems with the direct injected motors was the internal parts needed to be built to much tighter tolerances than the companies current tooling would allow. Supposedly once the assembly lines were re-tooled with new machines the issues with the direct injected motors were resolved. Whether that is true or not I have no idea, but it sounded logical.

Good luck I would have no problem buying another DI motor myself.

Sorry to say I think I was the last person to get them for 70% off. After I was there the sale must have ended now it is 30% off. It was at Fleet Farm in Rochester.
