Dont really know the diffrence between the vex and the Marcum but have a vexilar FL-20 and if you were just pondering between the FL-8 and the FL-18 go with the 18, bottom zoom is well worth the money.

Wife is an agent. When she gets home i’ll have her give you the scoop. I think it depends on the company you are with. I know some once you get a couple, when it comes time to renew they say see ya.

    ma duece,

Try going to this website. http://www.lake-link.com Go to Forums and click on ice fishing then in search type ATV floats. There is a good thread there. The bait store I couldn’t think of was D & S Bait.

When you fish Mendota not sure if the others are like that in the Madison area your ATV must have a flotation device on it and actually been certified as well. Don’t have one myself but most made there own. You could check the bait store there by the lake that offers shuttle service out. I’m sure he can hook you up. Might try googling it as well.

Had my land cut about 8 years ago. Not by choice, storm came through and blew down a bunch of Oak so decided to let them have 10acres of jack pine and popple. Would never use that logger again but I’m in WI so you won’t have to worry. Heads up though unless you specify your ground will be a mess where they cut. They used a machine on mine and not sure what they are using on yours but a mess is an understatement. Bunnies love it but can’t walk in there to shoot em. Deer are also in there and use it as a bedding area. Not sure what your land is like but if there is an area you want for a foodplot just ask them to clear it when they are making their staging area or make them stage where you want a foodplot as they will clear that area. You will be amazed at the regrowth. You could try this website also for some ideas http://www.wisconsinwoodlands.org

I think they list some prices there.

If you want to go a bit further go to Castle Rock. Very good white bass bite going on right now. It sort of pisses you off when you are targeting eyes and crappies and those buggers move in.

Danner bought out Lacrosse footwear. There headquarters is in Oregon and most of the boots are made in China and then shipped over here. The Lacrosse facility is just a wharehousing operation now. 15-21 Fulltime employees left out of a peak of 900. I questioned if Danner made any boots/shoes in the US and was told they have a facility in the south somewhere.

I would suggest taking it to a boat dealer or marina and have them summerize it. At least thats what I call it. I held off too long this year to get mine in and then I didn’t want to drive it in all the slush and salt and what not so i’m taking mine in and have them check it out and get it ready. I did put stabil in my gas though as I forgot the year before and the guy said i was lucky as the carb was still okay and not all gummed up. It is a new motor though too. Cost in LaX anyway is about $100.

Scott is right. Shopping around for a separate boat policy is very beneficial to the boat owner. There are some coverages that you may be missing if you schedule under your homeowners policy. Foremost and Progressive are good companies to look at. Also check with your current insurance company if they have the ability to write a separate boat policy. You may want to think about covering your boat for replacement cost vs. actual cash value. If you insure for replacement cost, the premium will be more, but it may be worth it when your boat is 5 years old and worth much less.

Just got back. Fished Monday and Tuesday. Eyes in the morning and night and perch by day. The fish won we caught 1 eelpout and some little perch. We fished Banana Flats in 30′ which yeilded the little perch and seen the walleyes at 25′ but they could care less what we gave them. Had 1 hit but lost it. Eye hit a buckshot with minnow head. Perch would bump just about everything we put down but wouldn’t take it. Small spoon and waxies is what it took to catch one but had some nice ones looking at my rapala but just hit the minnow and not the whole package. Tried just heads didn’t matter.
