September 10, 2007 at 5:29 pm #606464Congrats to the Stenger’s!! Chris and I had a great time. And I just have to say, you IDA boys have some serious dancing skillz. Very impressive I think a good time was had by all!! Congrats again.
AngelaAugust 15, 2007 at 5:20 pm #600305King185 – very original gifts. Tackle AND jewelry, good combo!! I like your style.
As for the rest of y’all, I’m just sayin’, a nice gift for the lady in your life every once in awhile is not a bad thing. Don’t you think they deserve it for having to put up with you??
August 15, 2007 at 2:12 pm #600241Well, when the husband went out and got a brand new snowmobile last year, I certainly didn’t go out on a shopping spree for myself. His happiness was gift enough for me. BUT I have said that if he ever wanted to spend that kind of money on a pretty “bauble” for me, #1 – it would certainly last longer than the two or three years he gets out of his snowmobile and #2 – the best part is, I could wear it every day, not just 5 months out of the year. Its the gift that keeps on giving. Honestly though, I’d rather have a new boat than a pretty piece of jewelry any day. Just means I’d get to spend more time on the water with my honey. Kicking his butt fishing!!
August 15, 2007 at 12:10 pm #600184Hi BrianK! As OldBear said a “pretty bauble” is a pretty stone (or it can be pretty stoneS too guys) in a ring, necklace, earrings – pretty much anything with a little sparkle to it. I would say these days the more appropriate term would be “bling”.
I think all you guys should go out and get your Favorite Wives, significant others, Moms, etc. a little bling or bauble. And Chris – if you are reading this, my birthday is next weekend .
August 14, 2007 at 7:52 pm #599991Here’s a thought…after you go out and purchase new fishing/hunting gear, you could stop off at a jewelry store and pick her up a pretty bauble. Just a suggestion and a GREAT distraction!! And usually the jewelry lasts a whole lot longer than the latest greatest fishing lure . I know that would work on me, usually more so though when it comes to snowmobiling stuff – fishing stuff, I’m usually at the store with the husband picking stuff out too!! Good luck!!
April 17, 2007 at 12:50 pm #561607Congrats Rob & Stacie! As I said…its about darn time!! Sheesh! At any rate, Congratulations!! I wish you both years and years of happiness
November 1, 2006 at 6:18 pm #494767I’ve been telling him for months he should sign up…about time he did the right thing and listened to his wife!
August 15, 2006 at 4:50 pm #19288First noticed it on my dog at about 6 months old. She would “bunny hop” up stairs. I then put my hands on her hips and could feel them pop. Brought her into the vet and when they would lay her on her back and try to stretch or straighten those back legs out she cried. She was spayed shortly after and we had them do x-rays at that time. Turned out she did have hip dysplasia and was put on Cosequin. She’s 4 years old now and we just recently put her on Rimadyl to help relieve any discomfort/pain. If I were you I would take your pup in and have those hips checked out.
