we are assuming that they are northern birds. Most of the locals moved out a couple of weeks ago when the weather got real nasty. When we went scouting those were the only birds we found in 4 hours of scouting… There are some birds around but they were in big flocks all going to the same area.

Congrats! i was out last friday scouting for some ducks and i found a couple of swans that would have been a pretty easy sneak. So i pulled off to the side of the road and was getting ready and decieded to make sure that i had my tag. I open up my wallet and it wasnt there! i totally spaced putting it in my wallet the night before and had to watch the swans fly away … but thats awesome that you got one and i am hoping to get out and find some this weekend

ha ha i am still waiting for the publisher clearing house mail… Its a normal tag that anyone can apply for. Students are almost guarenteed to get one. to get one you just go to the north dakota fish and game website and apply for a swan permit. Its a 3 month season from october to the end of december… thanks for all the good luck

I am totally for youth day. I am 19 now but back in the day i loved it. It was the only day when i didnt have to worry about not being cut off by the more experienced hunters in our group, and as far as the “spoiling” goes i think i limited out once in the 4 years that i went out. That taught me that you dont always get to shoot but it made me enjoy just being able to go out. Youth day is one of the reasons that i fell in love with hunting.

Jim Bruce is a good teacher. If he is still teaching thats where i would go. He taught me a lot and helped me get to a whole never level in my shooting. I dont know his number but if i can find it i will post it if you want it

i havel benelli cordoba. It doesnt kick all that much and it has a pretty good re-coil reducer on it. I am recovering from a broken back and my doctors said that the only way that i am allowed to go is if i shoot an auto-loader with a light load. I really apperciate all the help

The first time i was allowed to go hunting with my dad was when i was 5. We went pheasant hunting so it was pretty easy but i got tired after the first field but it was a great expierence that i will never forget. That was the day that i fell in love with hunting. I have been trying to figure out a way to get my nephew interested in hunting and what was a good age to take him out at.

last year after i talked to a guy that was telling me all about how well the can from primos is. so i decided to go out and buy one a give it a shot. I crawled up in my tree early in the morning and was there for about 30 min and i decided to put the can to work. I flip it up side down a couple of times and then all of the sudden the woods erupt. I had cows all around me. I never once saw a deer when i used that can, and every time i used it all the cows on the farm would get as close to me as possible and make a heck of a racket. I swear that the can is the worlds best cow call.

I put aqua seal from cabelas on the toes of my boots and they seem to last a lot longer. I have never had a problem with my boots seems wearing out after i started putting aqua seal on the toe seems and the front of the boot.

Im hunting on a ridge west of rochester. there are a lot of big trees. Its a natural funnel area where if the deer come through there then your gonna see them. There is a bedding area behind me, and a feeding area out infront and at the bottom of the hill. I am sitting in a big oak tree. There is also a hay feild out front to. So there is all of my information that i can come up with off the top of my head. I also do archery so if that is any help.
