They aren’t 100% sure yet, but could start to see some drop mid September.

Maybe I’ll stick to crawlers, thanks for the feed back.

How do those hold up? I have been thinking of trying them for some time but never got around to it.

You probably threaded the crawler a bit off if its not spinning. It helps to have some one show you or watch a you tube video on the rigging. You want a Palomer knot, with a 1/8″ end piece. Thread the crawler up the shank and over the knot, the 1/8″ will act as a keeper. You don’t want much if any crawler on the U of the hook. Clip off crawler to leave 1/4-3/4″ tail.

I have outstanding luck with them fishing the plains reservoirs of Montana. I rarely use harnesses anymore. I really like using 3 beads and a smile blade too.

Yep, they are available from many retailers. From what I’ve read/understood, the app is resting in Apples hands and they are the ones who are holding up the process.

I had to deal with them when my HDS-7 went out. It was not a pleasant experience but they did make it right after several emails and phone calls. The process took nearly 3 weeks and was very frustrating. They had a general lack of concern for my situation, were hard to reach and responses took several days.

Don’t hold your breath, they have been saying the same thing for a year.

This winter when I was looking for boat tire replacements I went to the RV forums. Those guys put thousands of miles on there rigs a year and the Maxxis tire came up more then any other for being a quality tire next to the Khumo`s. I went with the Maxxis and very happy with them so much so when our horse trailer needs tires this year Maxxis they will be.

I searched all over too, I couldn’t find any options I was happy with.. Then someone told me to find out what the RV guys are running, I went Maxxis and last spring and couldn’t be happier, they still look new and I put 7k on them last season.

Cord is a pain, but manageable, definitely works wonders. Slammed some early ice out perch pretty dang good with it yesterday.

With the nearest ice three hours away from central Montana, we are already launching boats

I agree, I used to run my vex off the universal sonar, not too impressed with running a cable up the shaft, but I’m thinking it’ll be nice enough to have drifting, vertical jigging, etc that I’ll deal with it.

I bought the universal dual beam ducer, not the high speed. I already have a HDS in the counsel and I really don’t need two high speed units. They come with a kit that mounts to the trolling motors drive unit via a hose clamp.

Mine is out in the cold shed 50 yards away, but I found this picture online.

I checked my the HDS in my counsel and seen a 3 amp, I thought about trying that, but figured I’d ask around a bit before I went to far, I have another day to blow before I actually need it.

Alright, thanks. I’ll be sure to report what their response is. I can’t be the only one running these in the open water.
