Nice fish, Pete.

Ben,
When does this thing start, and does it cost $$$? I’ll be in Omaha this weekend as well.

Adam- Those 2 look ready to go fishing now.
Good job on the eyes. I really wish I had time o get up your way.
Need to find a crappie pond with a ton of action to hold their attention. Way to slow on the river. Can’t wait though. I talked to a guy up here with a private pond with 6 lb bass and a ton of crappie and gills to take the girls to. Should be a fun summer.
Wade,
I’d really enjoy doing a traded fishing trip. I’d enjoy learning a little about smallie fishing on the river. Then we could take my boat after walleyes. Not that you’ll learn from me, but it would be fun to go.

It was nice meeting you Kyle.
Tom and Dave’s seminar was great and the seminar on electronics is goinig to have me spending some money real soon.It was sure good to see some familar faces I haven’t seen since last fishing season. I can’t wait to get on the water this year.
Ben,
Are forgetting that Jamie reads this board as well?
Adam
You people don’t know Jamie. She’s nothing but trouble. Welcome Jamie.
Zach, I’ve been to Yankton several times this winter and have not seen the river frozen. I think you will be fine. The weather up here is supposed to be in the lower 30’s for a while. And from what I’ve been told the fish are going fairly well.
Zach,
Last weekend there were reports of some 9’s being caught as well. I’ve heard both ways. That it is really going and that it’s sporactic. That ramp as already mentioned is very steep. Be careful.
Adam
Ben,
The boat is put up for the year. I have been helping the in-laws with harvest and getting ready for deer season. I’ve chased the ditch parrots around a couple of times as well. There are a lot of birds this year. I would love to chase the ‘eyes around if anyone is going out yet this year. My boat needs a few minor repairs, so I put it away until spring.
Talked to a guy who fished Lewis and Clark. Jig and minnow and some live bait rigs with chubs. Did very well. 3 man limit and 2 6ponders (both released)!
First off, I want to make sure you know I’m just joking wiht the picture and all (that’s a photo of Brian K’s good side).
I won’t debate the issue. You can have your opinion and you’re entitled to it. But my opinion of TO is that he is absolutely one of the greatest college coaches of all time. And while he may not be able to walk on water, I have seen him turn water into wine. Much more impressive if you ask me.
No offense taken.
Little bit of both Wade. There are a lot of coaches I would hire before TO would ever get an interview. And if TO hadn’t switched his offense to more of a spread offense, no I don’t think his record would have been any better in the B12 than Bill Callahan’s. He was a good coach, but was far from walking on water as many Husker fans would like to believe he was.
) You hold a fund raising event and the first guy on your guest list is not the best coach to ever coach college football that still lives in your same town!! (Dr. Tom)
I didn’t know that Bobby Bowden, Pete Carroll, JoePa, Pop Warner or about 10 other coaches had moved to Lincoln. Dr Tom was a decent coach who beat up on the weak sisters of the poor in the old Big 8 and got his butt handed to him in the big game the first 20 years of his career. If you want Bill Callahan to have the same record as TO just schedule teams like UNO and UNK as the are the near equivalent of caliber of competition he faced against ISU, KSU, KU and CU during the 70’s and 80’s. Ozzy got out while the getting was good when the Big 12 was formed b/c he knew that NU would not be able the keep up with the South division.
Fluff,
Were you up there this past weekend 7/21 – 7/22? I thought I saw your boat on Sunday morning.
Adam
Was out on Saturday morning from Verdel. Caught 3 keeper ‘eyes and 2 shorts. Also caught a couple short smallies and a buffalo fish. Fun weekend on the water.
Chriss,
She gets up a little slow, but other than that she’s alright. The vet said she hasn’t developed arthritus yet. If surgury is the best option, that’s probably what my dad will do.
Thank you,
Adam

Cube the breast meat. Dip in Beer batter. Deep fat fry until golden brown. Very quick and VERY tasty.

I had to join as well. I really enjoyed what I learned on NGPC forum. Wade, do you fish the river up by Verdel? We have a cabin up there and I’m thinking about a late seaon trip.

Count me in as well. I look forward to reading and occasionally posting.
