went to see what I could find today, sportsman’s/scheels and cabelas. Only could see the otter and liked what I seen. Need to find a store with a eskimo set up. Wish we had a ice show here in Colorado

I also went with the 63cv, been out in -5f (so far this season ) and no problems. went with Dakota battery last all day and some. I was a vex guy but sold that after one trip with this new unit.
Is the 63cv compatible with panoptix should one wish to add it later?

If its fully charge it will do 5 or so holes in 7″ then it bogs down and won’t cut, lift it up off the ice and works fine. Any pressure and it stops. Looks like I got to find one on sale
Do you need to baby these units (garmin/helix) as if the screen gets cracked I’m guessing by by unit? or is there a repair like a iphone type of thing? I’m not hard on units but just a little worried if it bumped in the right place then it would crack. I use a vex at the moment but thinking about a switch over to this type of unit
anyone done live mapping on the ice with their unit? how close do you have to drill holes to get a good reading? Also if one was to run their 5 or 7 at full brightness how long would it last. I think of getting a 7 due to the large screen size but not sure if the cost is worth it?
How hard would it be to use this model if your a newbie to these type of flashers? do you need to reset it evertime if your hole hopping? and how are they in the sun (able to see the screen)? I do like the graph mode from what I’ve seen on youtube
