This year I bought the 80 ah from amped outdoors. Running a 36volt in a 2060 skeeter. Been on p4 with it and mill lacs. Put in some 10-12 hour fishing days and no loss of power, while leads on the river for me would get about 8 hours when new. I used to compensate with using the kicker in high winds or fast current to get longer run time on lead, but have not had to do that this year with lithium.
Downside to lithium is they must be above 32 degrees to charge. I have a heated garage, or you can get the heat packs like what battle born sells.
I plan on getting a small 12v 200watt electric heater to stick in battery compartment for my trip to lotw this fall. Hope this helps!

We just went to the Boat Center and purchased a power pole with blade. So looking forward to see how that performs on the big waters this summer.
Biggest thing I have enjoyed is learning how to run boat in 2’ters with tabs.

Ramps for both pools are good to go. Honestly, not trying to spend your money, but For your first time out, grab a friend, leave your boat at home and give one of the local guides a call. I know both Denver McKinnon or Mary Hahn fish multiple pools on the Mississippi, which is important in my opinion to stay on the best bite. Definitely helps the learning curve. We been hitting the river 3 out of 4 weekends a month, year round on average for the last ten years, and still learning the different pools. Heck, I’ve learned a couple techniques just watching them over the years.
The river can be pretty awesome when you get a bite dialed in.

Oh it’s legit. Two twin young men that are passionate outdoorsman and fun to fish with. They weighed the fish a day after. I would guess that fish was a legit 15lbs when it was fresh out of the ice hole. Those guys throw many big fish back. I’m glad he’s mounting it.

Hope it all works out. Another shout out to SBC! Management philosophy trickles down to workforce. They are not miracle workers but go beyond what would be considered “normal service” Don’t know how that translates to price even though I know they are competitive, but being a weekend warrior having my boat delivered/ maintained when stated is great!

    Yes sir,
Nick S. out of the Lake City office will be presenting. He usually has some good graphs with the data they have collected that he puts up on the big screen.

Couple other features worth noting is the taller windshield and a storm guard that can be pleaced between lower part of windshield and rod locker. This will make those cooler days running around more comfortable. I am ready to get ours out this spring! We tpically carry 14 rods for 4 presentations on the river with 4 rods over 10′ so that rod holster is gonna be great! I wish I would of remembered to snap some pics of ours when we were in Ramsey so I could look at it everyday! Winter is good for only 2 things. Pitchin the river and slab fishing on Rainy! Come on Spring!

Dean at Skeeter Boat Center has a 2006 lund with 225 merc. and a kicker. We use this boat for awhile. performed well for aluminum boat. Kicker ran flawless, has the old minnkota auto-pilot which foot pad I hate, but has hand control also.

Sounds like you need to clean the carb. Did you run see foam in your gas? For us it helps greatly. Fairly simple to do. Cleaned my carb twice the first 12 years of strikemasters early years and none the last 5 with See Foam use. Scary to think how many holes we have cut.

We have used the 1850 the past 4 seasons fishing app. 50-75 days on the water. It is a definate upgrade to aluminum in the way it rides in rough water and how it tracks when rigging or trolling. The Yamaha performed flawlessly. Great motor. I think your dad will be happy. Storage was greatly enhanced from my earlier boats. First year we had both speakeers go bad and somthing else I cannot even remeber ,but SBC took care of it no questions as it should be.That being said I did sell mine 1850 to upgrade to the new 1910. The new side holster rod lockers SKeeter has along with the traditional rod storage in the center will be a great asset to us as we keep 16 rods for 4 different types of fishing we do on the river. I am also tweeked to see how the react keel fishes on the 1910 compared to the 1850. Of course no one wants to talk money as the sky is the limit when fishing, but four me I always go into it with a budget ,and Skeeter does a pretty good job of pricing. Not saying its not alot of money, but when I compare boats and their relative pricing to what you get for your money it works for me. Tell your dad good luck , lets see some pics of the new boat and give your comments when you get a chance to try er out.

Sounds like mid summer is the target production and will be a 2015 model yr as of today…. perhaps sooner!

We been counting and it’s almost mid-summer. Any gossip lately on the 19 footer?

this information is directly from the DNR on angler harvest versus netted walleye harvest in pounds. The first number is the year, the second is the band harvest, and the third is the angler harvest. When they are netting just as much if not more than they were before the resource was exploited, there is not going to be a bright future for red lake walleye…

Here are the pounds harvested by jurisdiction:

Think about your connection from otter to sled. When this and it will comes loose , off your stuff goes flying. I am, after our last excursion using a extra long pin with cotter key. For next trip in couple weeks I believe I am going to modify this furhter by install a light duty chain from toe bar to sled in case pin falls out. This will be to hinder toe bar falling down into snow and flipping otter and equipment . wrecked alot of stuff last time out and no fun when miles out an no one around. Thankfully we go in groups and have doubles of things. When in deep snow you cannot pull going slow or risk being stuck.

if your trolling motor isn’t a cable drive, spray wd-40 on the shaft before and after you set it in the water. This will prevent it from freezing solid when pulled up
