I have to agree with others here, if you just want to look the part that is one thing, but if you are trying to get sponsored then don’t give it away for free. I wear my sponsors gear because i believe in the products they make and i use them. That said I wear their tournament shirts at tournaments before I got sponsored, again if someone is promoting for free what whould be the companies incentive to hand you money or products to do the same. If you want a Pro looking shirt go check out tourneyshirts.com they will make any type of shirt you desire, and if you get local sponsors you can give them as much space as you want as you design the shirts. Just my thoughts.
December 9, 2006 at 4:46 am #509026First off this is not meant to be a burn on team supreme o if anyone feels that way I am sorry. I have to agree with riverbassman, after an company goes through something like this it will be difficult to gain the trust of the public again. Yes they have people on the payroll who speak about the company and how great it is, but it is us the tournament anglers who have to decide if we will support them or not. I for one will not be fishing team supreme tournaments but that is a choice I made and everyone here has to make up their own minds on if they will support nevin and team supreme or not.
November 2, 2006 at 7:13 am #495113You can catch them this time of year but with the water temps dropping so quickly it makes it rather difficult. I would go out and look for wintering areas and start there. Fish with slower baits and you should be able to get something going I fish pools 10-14 but I don’t think it would be much different in 19.
October 20, 2006 at 8:32 am #490948BassBaron- I was using p-line but it would go to crap pretty quick, I switched to triple fish and I have yet to have a problem with it but for 5 bucks you really can’t go wrong.
October 15, 2006 at 2:23 pm #488836Well thats good to know, hopefully people will rise up and put a stop to the nonsense going on. Most of these proposals seem like they are going to hurt the economy of the towns and cities that border the river. I geuss I just cannot figure out why the government would want to do that. Just my 2cents
October 9, 2006 at 2:30 am #486872Why not keep clinton and get rid of the wolf river, at least in pool 13 ypu have the chance at a good sack if you go out and find them and can get a good draw.
September 30, 2006 at 4:47 am #484275Well the news came as a shock as I was getting phone calls all day about it, but again what do you expect, it sounds like it was actually over 8 million but that is what he is going to admit to. It’s unfortunate that team supreme more than likely will be finished but what about the money he stole from his investors they were the ones hit the hardest by this whole mess.
September 9, 2006 at 12:53 am #476741I called FLW this afternoon there are 90 boaters and 110 non boaters signed up.
May 27, 2006 at 8:15 am #449666I believe the big fish went 4.6 pounds. I had a smallie that was just shy of 4 pounds. From the bags i saw thought i had a chance at big bass.
April 1, 2006 at 2:41 am #434971You can get the pro graphite series around 130 or so the helium LTA go for around 175 or so. Check out the web site Kistlerrods.com They have some pretty neat set ups for their rods.
April 1, 2006 at 1:16 am #434961Falcon does make ok rods- But if your going to spend the money you should look at the kistler LTA rods. Lifetime warrenty and they are one of the best rods out. You could cast all day with these and never know it.
March 30, 2006 at 5:13 am #434360I guess i don’t see what the problem is. A bass is a bass just becuase someone is a “pro” does not mean anyone can’t beat him on any single day. I have fished against these “pro’s” and have weighed more fish then them on certain days. TO me you are not fishing against a person but the fish so it should not matter who is signed up. Just my thoughts.
March 25, 2006 at 9:40 am #433245North east iowa is gonna represent this year in the great lakes BFL’s ya’ll better watch out.
March 18, 2006 at 2:48 am #431179During a tournament i will retie every couple fish if its a good fish then i will retie after i swing it in the boat– loosing a fish cause i did not retie would be heart breaking especially with money on the line.
March 17, 2006 at 3:56 am #430874I use a 7 foot medium action i fell that it has enough give to play the fish out but still strong enough to get a good hook set the 7 foot rod won’t over work the bait as much as heavier action rod can do. I always use 20lb triple fish braid it helps cut through the lilly pads and the grass better then mono or floro-
March 10, 2006 at 4:47 am #428527Kistler makes one heck of a rod with LTA series and the helium, but they also make the pro series which won’t break the bank plus you have to remember you get what you pay for.
February 15, 2006 at 8:43 am #420723Pitbull how are you supposed to xpand your fishing sucess if you will not try new things. When the fishing gets tuff and the fish see something new that could be money in the boat. I bet your the type of guy who refuses to try a drop shot or carolina rig, man you need a loaded arsenal these days and a spinner bait aint gonna cut it.
