Might be a little farther than you want to go, but Alexandria area trails are in great shape with the snow we got. Holiday Inn has a bar/restaurant and is right next to trail.
October 13, 2022 at 9:21 am #2152322A dab of valve grinding compound on the torx bit will help it grab a little better.
August 3, 2022 at 1:55 pm #2139289Take a look at the slush copter vs the bucket. Blows the slush down the hole, no bucket to carry out and empty. As noted above, you are on a roll with the ice fishing threads! LOL!!
March 21, 2022 at 9:39 am #2109415Had the castle out on the ice in Alexandria area this past weekend. Still about 30″ of solid ice, shore ice also holding strong.
March 7, 2022 at 6:43 pm #2105767Any one have experience on if tracks are harder on power steering atvs ?
No experience with an atv with power steering. My dad has ran tracks on his Polaris ranger with power steering for years, not a single issue. He does take it easy on his stuff though, usually traveling at around 25 mph with the tracks.
March 7, 2022 at 12:21 pm #2105655We have an 04 Polaris Sportsman 700 on tracks. Love it, was able to pull the castle out on lakes where wheeled vehicles couldn’t go this winter. About the only thing that will stop it is if you get high centered in slush. Also if you do go through slush just make sure to drive around a bit to clean out tracks before parking it so tracks don’t freeze. I think they are a game changer no matter what brand of wheeler.
January 3, 2022 at 7:21 pm #2086353We’ve had one by Alexandria for last 5 years. We have met a lot of great people and made many friends. Our whole family absolutely loves it!
December 23, 2021 at 12:52 pm #2083882Prime rib, Alaskan king crab legs, asparagus and horseradish mashed potatoes…😋😋

September 30, 2021 at 6:39 pm #2064432We have the same year pontoon. I had to replace the fuel gage about 5 years ago. I was able to access the sender for troubleshooting. On ours there is a small access door just behind the curved part of the couch/bench seat. Which on ours is opposite the driver. I can try and get a picture of it later this weekend if I think of it.
June 2, 2021 at 9:37 am #2040284I paid in. They had no problem depositing my check less than one week after I mailed it.
X2 on this……
May 6, 2021 at 8:14 pm #2035259Checkout Coils Flags, I believe they are out of St.Cloud, if memory serves me correctly.
April 29, 2021 at 9:40 am #2033409I love it! 60 minutes of uninterrupted time, listening to tunes, in the sun, no questions about staff or budgets, or catalog deadlines or diapers to be changed or kids to supervise, or baseball games to get to or to go coach, my neighbors loving the sound of my voice – god, doesn’t get ANY BETTER!!!! ( except when i’m fishin)
X2 stretch legs out, kick back in the seat and go!
April 28, 2021 at 8:46 pm #2033322Go to trailer parts depot, and look under the hub bearings and kits section. They have sleeves for UFP. I tried posting the link but can’t get it to work. My Ranger trailer has the Tie Down Engineering spindles, I got sleeves from them last year, perfect fit. Not sure if the UFP spindles have it or not, but mine have an o ring that goes on under the wear sleeve. Don’t forget to get some if yours does to.
April 7, 2021 at 6:21 am #2028051Too bad this wasnt an option when i was in college but congrates Joe on what should be a great oppurtunity and experience.
X2 One of my boys goes to school there and is excited about it. He was already inquiring about using the boat
March 10, 2021 at 7:21 am #2020988Although not a 300, my dad runs a 2016 225 Verado, if memory serves me correctly he had just over 2500 hrs on it when he sold the boat last fall. He typically ran in the 40-45mph range. He used the motor for trolling also so a typical 2 day trip on Devils Lake used about 14-18 gallons. Other than oil changes and normal maintenance items he never had a bit of trouble with it.
March 10, 2021 at 7:01 am #2020980I do the same as Joe and Bearcat, run plain 87 octane till end of season. No ringfree or other additives. Oil gets changed before putting it away for the winter.
February 16, 2021 at 12:22 pm #2015377I always carry a handy man type jack and wood blocks. Should you break a cable or blow a hyd hose, you can get under the frame to raise the house up and get lock pins in.
February 12, 2021 at 12:38 pm #2014493Something else if he’s having one built that I plan on doing is having aluminum brackets installed on the opposite side of the propane tanks to mount a truck bed toolbox for my blocks, extension cord, charcoal etc.
X2 Adding a storage box has been one of the best additions to our house. It’s a great place to keep all the stuff you use with the fish house.
February 9, 2021 at 8:22 pm #2013800X2 on the power services. I agree with Adam on the #1 fuel, there’s not much lubrication with it, can be hard on the injection pump in the long run.
I have a 2014 duramax, coldest I’ve been in with it is -38F. No issues running winter blend #2 with power service. When fishing with our wheel house I leave the truck plugged in, when temps get really cold. The newer diesels with all the emissions crap don’t like idling for long periods. Let it idle for 15 mins or so and then take it easy till it’s up to operating temp.
February 9, 2021 at 5:32 pm #2013719I should have mentioned they are members of the UMD Rod and Gun club. Nice to see them helping out but YIKES that water would be cold!
February 9, 2021 at 5:23 pm #2013713Not sure if it will work or not but my son sent me a video of one of his friends using his boat to help get fishing gear off the ice.
