I’m really exited for this one. It’s going to be an old fashioned one day shootout.

There are also several manufacturers that use Ebay to liquidate their returns and holdover stuff.

If I understand it correctly, if there is enough interest you can have side pots that will increase the number of entries (non paid I believe) as well.

I was told at the NPAA meeting that the rest of the details should be out within a month.

One thing that has been missed so far, is that the winner of each event will receive a free entry to the Oconto pro/pro/co event as part of the winners package. I fished this event two years ago and it’s a pretty exciting event.

I’m sure at the NPAA meetingn on January 4-5 the info will come out. I’ve been told some stuff in confidence and I think we’ll all be happy. I just hope the dates work out for me.

To many graduations in the early part of June. I’d put it in the back half of June if you want draw as many people as you can. The Leech Lake Chamber event is the weekend after Labor day so there is a fair amount of your potential entrants, and not everyone can fish two events two weekend in a row, and Fathers day can be an issue all it’s own.

Late June Brett, late June. The bite should be real strong on the mud then too even if we have another crappy spring.

Picking the best two man flip over is about as hard as picking the best beer. There are lots of good choices out there, but they may not be exactly what you want. I’ve owned lots of different houses from the different manufactures and here is what I’ve learned over the years. Compare things like how the seat is built, how it’s attached and even how high it sits off the ice. Not everyone is the same hight so look at the different models within each brand. Look at the fabric and how it’s sewn. Some are thicker than others, but you can go too thick and it just adds bulk without adding any more wear resistance. Look at the poles and how easy they are to set up and take down.

Then take a look at what comes standard and even what kind of accessories are available to trick it out and make it yours, and speaking of available, look at the availability of it all, who sells it and how far you will have to drive to get it. Last but certainly not least, look at customer service. The best customer service is not to need it, but if you do need it, ask around to see who will be there for you if you have a problem.

Once you compare it all, I think you’ll find that Clam will be your best bet to a good year on the ice.

Leech Lake. Lots of 23+” fish that will get their picture taken. Along with Mille Lacs, timing will be key for lots of big weights. Lake of the Woods would be another great spot to go to.

It was handled correctly. The director got the same cut with or without fish, as he should get paid for his time.

I don’t see what the big issue is.

They did it last year and it worked out very well. 6 lines can be a fire drill for sure! Last year they had a clause in the rules that you couldn’t team up if you where both running for angler of the year. This year with only one event I imagine that you could team up but I don’t see that happening much as I think the egos will keep most of them from sharing a boat.

The biggest problem with AIM and sponsorships is that they have never had a vehicle to showcase any sponsor. No TV, No magazine and very little promotion.

I like AIM, have fished one and I want them to come back next year. I wish them the best in the future.

Last year I ran both an 1197 and a 1198. The 1197 processor could not keep the map current at speeds over 45MPH. Minnesota Lakemaster version 3. I moved the ’97 to the bow and put a ’98 at the console and no more problems to over 55MPH. The dual processors are fast!

There would be lots of locals that would fish it, myself included, but the $1200 entry fee will also keep many local away.

This is the right lake for the CPR format. This lake would also do well in the pro-pro-co format that was used on Green Bay in July.

No way 16-18 makes the cut, it’s going to take that per day to stay in the top 10.

I am fishing as a co. This is a fantastic fishery with LOTS of fish. Last year there where a ton of 14.5″ fish so they should be in the 16″ range this year. Overs arent that hard to get but BIG overs are. You can have 2 over 20 in the boat at weigh in.

I am guessing it’s going to take 35 pounds to safely make the cut.

Looks like Randy cleaned up the boat for the big day! Go get’em Randy!

If this doesn’t say anything about the consistency of the bite nothing will. River Rat Randy scored a zero on day two of the event. I guess that’s why they call it fishing and not catching.

Whats the story on the NTC bids this year? I know the number will fluctuate, but it sure would be nice to know how they will be handed out BEFORE the season starts.

Here is the AIM schedule. With AIM coming to LOW this summer and the Green Bay event being a Pro-Pro-CO (yes, three guys in the boat!) this might be a busy year for AIM

Also, the FLW Championship is Oct 25-28 in the Quad Cities, Iowa.

I will be doing the Cass lake event. I wish there was time to do more but this year is pretty busy. I am planning on more MWCs next year as this will be my last as a FLW co.

I like the old Silverado color combo, it looks totally BA with a black motor.

With a Yamaha, I prefer an eclipse mist base with stripes 1&3 in graphite. That is a great combo too.

Mine is the anniversory color combo, which isn’t that bad either.
