I’m in the same position and have done some research. It appears the biggest detirminent is the depth of the water you will be fishing. I’m going with the dual, 9-19. Suggest you go to http://www.vexilar.com and read their article on beam and coverage area. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Rick

    Ry,

Is this at the Ritz East area? I heard this was being negoticiated, but didnt’ know it was finalized. With the new Tiki bar at Okoboji Boats, it may take an hour to get from W to E, vise-versa? I guess we fish from early to 9:00 a.m and then ???????????

See you this Spring. (I’m in Tuscon.)

    Hi Ryan,

As Cole gets bigger, you should be able to manage the larger Frabil Ranger; that’s the reason I haven’t updated my Hideout, the weight. The Artic Armor, per the other post is great. The sled also holds alot of out “stuff”. Blain’s Farm & Fleet had Frabils on sale for $ 169 this week, but they did not have the Artic Armor , plus not much room. Enjoy the shopping. Rick

    Ryan,

I enjoyed your article on sight fishing. I’m using the tactic you taught me this summer, putting a 1.5-2 foot leader of Vanish under a swivel, but I’m using 6 lb. test (cuz thats what I had). I have some 2 and 3 # Micro-Ice; should I be using that instead?

    Rick
