Congrats to all successful hunters. I always like seeing the youngsters and newbies getting their game. Finally connected tonight myself. It was a cold hunt and I was wishing I was ice fishing instead of sitting on stand freezing my azz off waiting for a shooter. He was still chasing a couple does around and they came by at last light. Good luck to all still going out after them.

I’m with you Bucky. Put a little sand at intersections and call it good. They seem to survive out West fine without salt.

Not looking to argue or bash anybody, but just make your favorite summer sausage and slice thin n fry it. I’ve been doing that for 20+ yrs, basically the same as any venison bacon I’ve ever had. If there is some other secret or method that would be great, I would definitely like to try it out.

Out in NW WI, 1 deer at 7 and nothing since. Wind is getting miserable but sounds like some action for Labdaddy.

Sure looks like a bobber to me. They sure are neat critters. I do hunt them a lot and know people that have ate them. They all say everybody should try it. I’ve had mt lion couple times, it’s ok so I imagine a bobcat would be ok also.

That cat on the endgate is one pretty critter, don’t see many spotted up that nice in my neck of the woods.

Must be rare in the South. We get a fair amount over 30 lbs and even some over 40 in Wisco.

Yesterday morning was pretty good, last night was slow but son got decent 9 ptr. This morning, nothing yet but listening to the crows.

Good luck on recovery DT. I made it out this morning for my first sit of the year. Warmer than I like, but it sure is colorful n beautiful.
