I bought one last year and used on the front of my baot at the trolling motor station in the front. Worked great for me and had no trouble seeing it in any light condition.
When I was in the Army (22 years ago). I always used a little rubbing alcohol to start with on an infant diarper, the washable type. Then I would polish with a different diaper and finally use a little more rubbing alcohol. I have used the flame from a lighter, but I always had better luck with the rubbing alcohol.
Try going to napa or any automotive store and purchase metallic paint additive. I am not sure prices or what they have for amounts, quarts, gallons etc., but it will be the size fleck you need.
I believe they are called buffalo knats. I was at a friends wedding the first of June and they were terrible then. We were using a product called buggins. We found it at a farm store in Pittsfield Illinois. This stuff is incredible, stopped them suckers right away. The only problem is I cannot find it anywhere around where I live now. May have to send money down and have some shipped to me.
If it is your brake switch located on your brake pedal, you may not have to replace it. Take it out, usually just a bolt or two, and clean it up with some steel wool. I have had this problem on every chevy I have ever owned. It only takes about 30 min to remove, clean and replace.
You may notice some vapor on the inside of your screen when you turn it on. I have left my out in the boat all winter before and had no problems. One good day in the sun on a fishing tri[ should clear the screen up.
I have this same unit(x51). Try to do a hard reset. Go to the lowrance website to download the instructions on how to do it. I don’t remember how to do it for sure or I would give you that information.
Thank you for your service to the USA!!!Hope everything works out great and that you are home with your family in the very near future. God bless and take care of yourself, safe returns.
This really gets to a guy. To know that someone died doing what he enjoyed doing and that 2 guys found him doing what they love doing. It is to bad that this has to happen. My advise to everyone, wear your life jacket whenever you are on the water. It will help insure you all make it home at night to your families. God bless all involved and may god be with you all in the future.
Have you looked into putting a Jack Plate on. It seems to be the way that some people do it to get a kicker motor on their boats, I saw one on a bayliner ski boat last weekend.
This will be a great motor for trolling. I have the same motor, you will need the high torque prop as I have a hard time controlling it in the wind. It will troll down to .45mph, great for pulling spinners or lindy rigs.
To the family of Aaron Dahlberg our deepest sympathy. It is such a shame that someone would do this kind of thing to anyone. Makes me so mad that there are people out there who have no remorse or feeling for their fellow human being.
15 would be great!!!I know of a few lakes in the north part of the state that really need help. I wish the DNR would look into putting a slot limit on Crappies in a few places, there seems to be spots that get hit really hard.
Dean, I hope that the water doesn’t get too high up there. I look forward to seeing that you make it through the rough and get back to the normal. Anyone who would help a guy who lost his boat plug last weekend doesn’t deserve to have this happen to them 2 years in a row.
