I have a 2018 Lund with the no feedback steering system, it has a grease fitting where the steering cable enters the tilt tube on the motor, which is probably what you are familiar with. The maintenance manual instructions are to lube this fitting, “if equipped”. So I guess some boats do not have this fitting, which seems odd. It’s a long shot, but can you trace the steering cable back to the wheel to see if there is a grease fitting somewhere else?

Hello – usually the last two digits of the serial number indicates the model year, so in this case that would be 1970. But serial numbers were not standardized until 1972, so it depends on what Lund used for a serial number scheme before 1972. The C-14 had a long production run which doesn’t help in determining when your boat was built.

I’m surprised that no has jumped in with a reply. I think you answered your own question when you said you needed an 18 pitch three blade prop instead of the 19. It looks like the Spitfire 13×17 is a good match for your boat, that 6000 rpm at wide open throttle looks to be ideal. Too bad they don’t make props in one inch pitch increments, that 2 inch jump is a bit much in this case.

We have a 1775 Crossover with the Mercury 115 Pro XS. The motor is great, everyone marvels at how quiet and smooth running it is. We are running the 4 blade 13×17 Spitfire aluminum prop, and it performs well. You can get Mercury’s Vessel View as a phone app, it connects to the motor via Bluetooth and can show engine hours, RPM, fuel flow, fuel remaining, coolant temp, oil pressure and voltage. Watch the price on it, they sometimes have it on sale for almost half price. No plans to go stainless on the prop, as the lake we are on has some shallow areas that are a threat to props… mpg with the 115 and the Spitfire is pretty good.

We have the vinyl main floor, that seems to be standard now from the factory with carpet as an option. One neat Sport Trak accessory are the fender straps and buttons, makes it easy to attach and remove boat fenders and keep them out of your way when needed. They are made by Dowco and are available from boat dealers and several online sources.

Has anyone tried the Windaways deflectors? They are clear Lexan panels that are added to the top of the windshield, you can see them here https://windaways-texas.com
Adds height to the windshield without modifying the boat, can easily be removed.
