I just bought a new bow this summer, retiring my 14 year old buckmaster. budget was a factor, I shot all the big dollar bows and midrange bows and ended up buying the Hoyt Turbowhawk. The price was 550.00 with a 50$ rebate, the bow feels great and shoots very forgiving. I shoot at 63 lbs. and am getting 270 fps. with my set-up. consider Hoyt they are good bows.

I just moved into a new house last week and I have a big honey-do list to do this month, so I,m a little jealous of everyone out hunting this weekend. On the brighter side I am getting a new bow next week and it will be ready for Oct.good luck to you all.

Thats a nice bow, I will be picking up my new Hoyt Turbowhawk next week. I cant wait to get it sighted in and up a tree. For me the Hoyt bows felt well balanced at full draw and after the shot.Good luck this season!

Nice buck! Do you think the 3 blades are more durable than the 2 blades?

Awsome, I love hunting in the snow! So maybe I should go with the rage.

Thanks for the input, I will probably try both and see what shoots better with my set up. MY friend shot a doe last fall with a rage broadhead and droped her in her tracks, the next day I made a good shot on a doe and had to track her for about a 100 yards, so I was curious about all the hype with the rage.

I was out this morning hunting on a small public spot near my son and I bow hunt. After I got down from my stand I went to were my son had his stand to bring down so he had it for gun season and found that it had beed taken, there were veh. tracks leading right to the tree, about a 1/2 mile from the road. I wish I would have been out there when that happened!

A couple years ago I was in my stand in the morning, it was a nice quiet morning and I had a doe walking by at about 50 yards, she stopped and suddenly ripped a big fart! It was a loud one, I was impressed. I did every thing I could not to laugh outloud.

I am thinking of doing some still hunting after gun season, hoping there is snow on the ground to catch a good track.

I always try to be 16 to 20 ft. It has paid off in the past.

I used Code Blue, Doe Esterous for the frist time last weekend bow hunting in WI. I poured some on an atv trail and climed a tree 10 yards away, 20 minutes later I had a spike running down the trail, nose to the ground and grunting, he got to the sent and stoped on a dime. I now have a full freezer! (Mind over Matter) If you don’t mind, it don’t matter.

My ideal shot would be 20 to 30, I will take a practice shot at 40 in my first sit on stand, just in case.
