Zipper help…

One of my zippers popped on my new Otter Resort hub house. Called customer service and they said to go through the standard warranty claim and they’ll fix it up. So that’s good. The problem is that I’m using this house as my base camp/sleeping quarters on a fishing trip last week in March and customer service said it most likely wouldn’t be fixed until after my trip.

I’m wondering if anyone has a trick to get the zipper back in the slider so I can at least zip it shut and just use the other door?

The thread topic was quite a bit off from what I was expecting to read…

Back on track (pun intended). If you need it to work again, you can cut the zipper track on the side that is came off from and get it started again. Obviously, you wreck the zipper backing, but it will fix it in a pinch. Be careful not to push too hard when getting it back on track, as it could move that tooth too much to get it started. Here is a link to how I have done it in the past.

You can also attempt to open the track on the pull enough to get it back on track, but you run the rick of breaking the pull! I would not advise doing this, but it does work if it doesn’t break…

Just a word of caution. If you cut anything it may void your warranty with Otter.

I’ve used large safety pins to fix a HUB door shut.

Is it the frank or the beans?
