I just moved to zimmerman from forest lake I fish mille lacs a lot but I’m wondering what there is for any good walleye, crappie or trout areas lakes streams etc with 30 mins of here to hit during the week and with my son a lot of the time? Don’t need spots just lakes and streams any info is appreciated.

Can you be more specific which lake is good for what species? Just to shorten. The search time for me. Thanks for the info. I live a block from little elk.
Little Elk puts out good Pike and pretty decent Bass. If Walleye is your thing I suggest Green. These are small lakes with BIG summer traffic so fishing off hours is the key. Finding the spots? Just park your car at the landings and you can see the community holes.
As you get accustom with the area Briggs & Julia will come on your radar. Both worth a look during the week.
What is your species of choice?
Walleye is my main target. I fish MTT and some other tourneys but if my son’s with then any action is good since he’s 5.
