Zach's 2017 Buck – BBD

    Opening Weekend of the 2017 Wisconsin deer season is one to remember for me. I took my 12 year old son out for his 1st regular season opener. He has previously done youth hunts in the past few years, but he was very excited to be able to go with and be a part of the hunting crew now. Fast forward to Saturday afternoon. He saw 2 does come out into a cut cornfield and saw this buck bumping them as he was in full rut mode. Zach was immediately able to keep his composure and get a perfect double lung shot on this buck at 170 yards. The buck only went 10 yards and piled up. Shortly after, he put his scope on the buck and realized what a giant he had harvested. He is one proud hunter and I cannot be more excited for him.

    That’s awesome congrats to you and your boy. That one will be tough to top great buck.

    When I saw the title I had a feeling it was going to be about your Zach! What a deer!!

    This kid is the most driven kid I have ever met. If he puts half the prep and energy into hunting that he put’s into fishing it’s no surprise he made a great shot! Well done Zach!! bow bow

    He is for sure hooked now and will have a hard time beating that one. CONGARTS to the both of you!!! Had to be a super thrill!!

    That’s a great buck Zach shot. toast He must have been a real happy kid which is evident by the smile on his face.
