The 2019 Ram 2500 needs front brake pads, everyone has been trying and have struck out. So I tried going straight thru the Mopar site and got this. The funny parts is they took my order and my money then said I would get a refund in 5 days. flame flame flame
What is that noise I hear??? Oh yeah, that would be my rotors grinding. rotflol

    Dear matt,

Unfortunately this part is backordered nationwide and we have no way to obtain one for you. There is not a reasonable ETA at the moment, so we had to cancel your order. You have been fully refunded, and we apologize for the circumstances. This is a rare occurrence, especially for us, considering our massive inventory size and huge network of partners.
We appreciate you shopping with us and we hope to earn your business in the future.

    Sincerely,

That sucks man! The motor in my wife’s truck is getting replaced under warranty, good news. Bad news nationwide backorder and no idea when it might be available.
Worse news is they weren’t going to give us a loaner but since my son works at the dealership he was able to pull some strings. Worser news my wife fell on the ice Sunday morning. Dislocating and fracturing her ankle in 4 places. She will need surgery. Hopefully those parts arent on backorder!

Do they gotta be Mopar? There’s a few of options for pads on rockauto. Does look like you can get Mopar rotors from them.

Rotors seem to be readily available. I supposedly have some pads coming in from O’reilly but I’ll believe when I see it.

    Captain,
I wish your wife a speedy recovery. That’s gotta be painful.

This is the worst one I have heard. I cant imagine a personal vehicle down that long for such a mundane part. More and more things unavailable. Each of us impacted more every day. Simple things. And it continues to worsen…

Isnt that the truth! I read an article the other day that basically said “Americans need to start living like Europeans”. IE stop buying so much stuff.
Um, that is why we live in this country so we can do what we want.

I wonder when we will start seeing American manufacturing taking the lead on replenishing parts. High demand and low supply – someone’s gotta fill the need, right? Prices will go up I suppose, but more jobs? But then again there is a labor shortage…

We’re dealing with this on a daily basis in the automotive field.
Parts are getting harder to get and prices are going up. Brake rotors have increased by over 30% in the last year. Tires are next, many of the popular brands are completely unavailable during tire shop’s busiest season.
If more parts were still manufactured here instead of in China this wouldn’t be an issue.

Yep if you need tires or repairs, get your ass in cause it is for real. And it is probably getting worse before it gets better.

I would say in the GM world its gotten better lately unless you crash your car then you maybe stuck a while. Body parts come real slow.

My tire hook up told me about this a half year ago. Said tires would be very tough to find by winter.

Same, I rebuilt the entire front end of my 2500 this summer and also did brakes including calipers on all 4 corners. Saved hundreds, if not over a grand from the local box stores, using the same parts.

EPG Slow morning at work I just checked two of the largest parts warehouses along with most retailers and the only place that has your pads is Autozone and they would have to ship them from an out of state warehouse. Oreilly had nothing so not sure if they are gonna come through for you. Call autozone if you want and if they say they can’t do it let me know I can order through my work and get them by Friday.

Can you find a Certified GM Remanufactured 6.2 engine for a 2012 Denali? -)

Yes, nationwide backorder apparently. Its at the dealership and I am not sure if they are required to go through a specific vendor due to aftermarket warranty or not, but this pic has the VIN in it.

Yep national backorder I just called Suburban Chev and they confirmed it. They are the largest supplier of GM rebuilt parts in the area. Guess your gonna be with out a truck for a bit.
