Time for me to upgrade from my Mag III with laser drill.

So what is your favorite all time Strikemaster and why? I’ll be looking to buy used so I’ll be choosing the best used model.

Solo 42 Cc Lazer Mag. Starts easy and is brutally fast. Almost to the point of making punching holes fun. The crew and I run our augers ruthlessly hard all winter and we’ve never had a single powerhead, recoil or transmission issue with any of the Lazer Mags we’ve run.

I appreciate the responses. That’s exactly what I was looking for. I know James has tens/hundreds of thousands of holes drilled on his augers. Maybe millions.

I’m trolling CL now for a new/used one.

Check with Prince Bait and also with H2O outfitters in Big Lake. Many time they have used models.

x2 on James comment about the Lazer Mags! My guys and I have used these exclusively for the past 4 years and have drilled THOUSANDS of holes, without fail. They have NEVER disappointed or let us down. It’d be pretty embarrassing to have faulty equipment, when you’re out with clients. That’s why I/we use the BEST! Good luck on your search.

Pro Lazer for me. There’s just something about having that little extra power…She’s fast and sounds awesome. Although, I did have a recoil go out and broke the throttle/handle. Still love it though

I ended up buying the 42cc solo. So far I’m pretty impressed and am hoping for many more years on this auger. I managed to find a barely used one for $350.

It’s already become my all time favorite.
