Azalea Ristorante Manhattan. Best Italian food I have had. Nothing has been close. L.Woods in Lincolnwood IL for baby back ribs. Manny’s in Minneapolis for their fillet, and cheesecake.

Filet mignon at Sullivan’s – Trempealeau Wi…. I’ve had this done to a perfect medium – with salad bar, the best salad bar ever – for the past several years with no complaints. Perfect every time. I take my summer guests (my extreme liberal southern uncle & his daughter) there too just to show off! Then we go to the gun range and blow stuff up with the scary black rifles!

every year starting when she was 8 until she went away for college my youngest daughter and I went fishing on opener. Fish for crappies on Friday, sleep in the back of the truck at a secluded access then fish walleyes Saturday morning. We always grilled burgers around noon and ate them on the tailgate. They were always our favorite meal of the year. She’s 34 now and we still talk about how great those burgers always tasted!

Sounds great! I do remember I used to get one day off work every week (back in the early 90’s) and I would go fishing by myself, get just two walleye. Just enough to make a nice lunch for myself. Peace, quiet & a good scratch meal to myself on my day off. Those were the days!

When I lived in Georgia and worked with some of the good ole boys They put on a wild game feed and invited me. They had more food that I never tried before in my life from Rattle Snake, Crayfish, Alligator, Coon, Elk, Muley, Whitetail, Wild Boar, Catfish, Squid, Octopus, chocolate covered Grasshoppers and ants just to name a few. I think if it walked or crawled it was fair game for table fair. Of course there was plenty of home made squeezing’s to go along with it all. It was quit the experience one I will never forget and all made with that Southern touch it was amazing.
