Fishing Pool 4 and want a fish dinner with the fish you just caught?
Swing your boat into the Harbor Bar across from Red Wing and for a nominal fee they will drench your fish in the famous Harbor Bar beer batter and your fish will be set in front of you along with a couple sides of your choice.

If you would like your fish cleaned too, please call ahead. Sometimes it’s just too busy for them to get to them.

Last evening River Rat Randy and myself had a very tasty meal of smelt that I picked up frozen from Buchanan’s Grocery. Next time it’s going to be fresh crappies and or gills from the backwaters of the Mississippi.

Alexandria area used to do this but now they all say, “nope we can’t”. Bummer because my clients would love a place like this. Good for Harbor Bar waytogo

Werm, Between $10 and $15. depending on the sides and how you would like them prepared. Cleaning is an extra charge.

There are times when it’s just too busy to do this like Reggae Festival so please call ahead.

Hunters Point on Mille Lacs will do the same. However you need to clean your fish. Fish cleaning shack is just out the front door. waytogo

You just need to get out there and do a little ice fishing… wink

I know there are resorts up on LOTW that offer this, one or two on URL and Twin Pines on Mille Lacs too. They offer the “take you out, clean’em and cook’em” deal…problem though is there isn’t to much keeping anymore. ???

One of the best I’ve had is Jr’s on URL. Pretty simple meal of fresh fish and fries. No fancy sides for like $7-$8 per person.

Now I’m anxious to try Harbor Bar. Spring fishing is around the corner.

Randy and I liked the beer batter that they use on the chicken strip.

PS if you order the chicken strip dinner…well, it’s HUGE!
Wish I would of save the picture from a few weeks ago. It was amazing for the price!

Cool deal. Reminds me of a storyline in Longmire. . .

My favorite of all time is the blackened seasoning at CrawGator bar & grill. Throw them a couple red fish filets and enjoy a pound or 5 of the craw boil and a cold beer while they cook it up. Hand dipped onion rings there too for a side. Doubt anyplace up here would come close to Venice.
