I just dispatched a nuisance yote that is getting way to comfy around my house. He was 30 yards from the house at 6pm. Anyway, would the hide be worth anything this time of year. Seems pretty clean, no mange, long hair but a little thin. Thought I might as well skin it for practice if nothing else.
Do it while it’s warm! Gotta believe it won’t be worth much.
Yeah, I did skin while it was warm and tossed it in the freezer. Might get a half pair of gloves for it… I was surprised that I still did a decent job of it since it has been so long since I’ve done it.
$$$ value on early yotes are about zilch. If its in great shape and good color, put it up and tan it yourself for the home decor. Perfect pelt to practice with
