I think the funniest part is no one ever buys one but everyone has one.

These things have to be the worst feasible way to spend $26. How long do people hold a 12oz beer that they can get warm? Better yet, who wants to screw something down on top of their beer to hold it snug in a koozie? I could win the lottery and wouldn’t buy one.

Protip: Buy the RTIC version of this for like $7 when they have one of their sales, the RTIC ones fit normal 12 ounce beers or Keystone light shaped cans.

These are legit pretty awesome, but totally not awesome if you were to pay $25 for them. I use mine all the time and it’s really great.

I got the Rtic ones…as a gift. I use it all the time because it’s always 90 with a dewpoint of 80 every day and beer gets warm in 5 minutes. We also have yeti tumblers and I’ll find ice in them the next day after being out all night in the lanai.

I’m not buying a cooler though. I got a thick giant igloo and another roto cooler knockoff for hurricanes.

You’re not cool if you don’t have a fancy tumbler. What ever happened to drinking your beer before it got warm? Shotgunning is where it’s at anyway!

In the middle of summer, if you are outside, that seriously means drinking your beer in like 15 minutes. Sure, I can drink a beer that fast, I’m not generally doing that though.

And even if you do drink your beer that fast, having something keep it cold just in case you get distracted/sidetracked is good. Where’s the downside?

And I got my fancy YETI tumbler for free from work toast

Yes they are overpriced. But I got one for xmas and have used it on every beverage that fit into it since. It is nice to put your beer down for 20 min and come back to cold beer. In the winter it keeps my hands warmer since the beer is not cooling them off. If I lost it I would not run out and get a replacement. I would just take my wife’s one. She hates them and thinks they are too heavy.

I got the coleman version as an employee appreciation gift a few years back. I have some of the foam coozies too, but the stainless one is nicer. Pretty nice to leave a beer sitting outside while I mow. Finish the front, take a swig on the way to the back, and grab it as I’m putting the mower away. That’s about the only time though, that I have a beer sitting outside for 45 minutes.

If you pleebs think Yeti is expensive, you wouldn’t believe what I paid for my custom Ram Orca tumbler, came with a truck and everything! Only problem is I have to pre-cool my coffee if I want it drinkable before noon.

I like to put hot coffee AND an ice cube in mine just to confuse the heck out of it.

You put something hot in a thermos (cough tumbler) it keeps it hot, you put something cold in a thermos (cough tumbler) it keeps it cold. How do it know?

Maybe he has a push mower? My brother in law didn’t have one on his zero turn so he would strategically place beers throughout his yard. It took over 2 hours to mow so a couple 13…14 and he was set. I still laugh my a$$ off at his strategery! His wife must have never wondered why his mower kept disappearing a few minutes at a time throughout the mowing process.

This topic really makes me wonder what the ratio of self bought to gifted Yeti products is.

In our house it is 33% I was gifted a tumbler from work and ended up having to buy 2 more for the jealous ladies in my house. The metal koozies, 3, are Rtic and gifted. Both roto molded coolers were gifts, neither a Yeti.

I have yet to meet someone who has actually purchased a Yeti cooler with their own money. They were either gifts, gift card or “rewards” purchases.
The tumblers, etc I know a few.
I dont own anything Yeti, but I have several other knock offs that I have paid for for a third the price of a comparable Yeti product.

No one want to be known for buying a $400 cooler. It just means they can afford to buy everyone beer too.

I must be the only one that has bought a couple…… but I bought them as gifts! LOL.

I thought they were excellent gifts to pals that helped me out with big projects and would not accept any cash payment for their help. A high quality piece of gear that will last their lifetimes that they would be hesitant to purchase for themselves seemed like a great gift, They sure seem to like them.

I’ve been gifted about every Yeti product over the years. In my opinion, the soft sided coolers with zippers are junk. The hard coolers are the real deal but are definitely over-priced. I’ve kept steaks rock hard frozen for around 3-4 days using just a few frozen 1 Liter bottles of water. Block ice keeps a lot better and if you have it in something sealed like a water bottle the water won’t leak out and spoil the meat.

Great idea. Sure wish I would get one (as a gift!)
