    Planning on fishing 9th-11th or 12th based on ice. Viewed the show again last night… then lost a lot of sleep as I was wired all night. Only the second ice trip of the season for me, so hoping it happens!

    The Holiday Inn Express in Port Clinton has a very nice, well-lit parking lot. That’s important when you have ATV’s, sleds, shacks, etc in the back of the truck and on the trailer. That’s where we stayed anyway.

    It’s also right across the street from a bait shop and gas station. Close access to HWY 2 as well.

    Thanks. I think the holiday inn express is our pic. Is there a helmet law enforced on the lake? In Ohio?

    I’m not sure on the helmet thing. I didn’t wear one and from what I saw on the lake, it was about a 50/50 split helmet/no helmet
