Do you like all these group celebrations after interceptions & touchdowns?

Some i don’t mind. When everyone is down clise to the end zone it’s OK in my opinion. When they have to run from a long distance to the end zone, nope don’t agree with it.

Yay to the stuff Cam Bynum has done. Anytime you pay homage to 90’s teen movies you’re ok in my book.

It’s the second most annoying thing in football (behind that girl at Chiefs games)

Bud Grant would say ” Don’t act like it’s your first time in the end zone.” And “Save your energy for the next play”.

Yay for me. I always thought Bud Grant’s take on it was idiotic. Make the game as fun as you can for the gladiators that play it and they will raise their level of play if showboating or celebrating is a motivator for a player. If guys can’t back it up with their play it’s the Not For Long league. If they can back it up, more power to ’em.

I say celebrate if you’re a winning team… let the players have fun, it’s all part of the culture of winning. This year’s cellys (led by Cam Bynum) are good clean fun, mainly Disney tributes, and the kids love it. The whole team participates, not just one guy – I think it’s cool.

The best celebrations are the fools that dance like idiots when they score even though their team is loosing bad. Those dances always make me chuckle

I just want to know how they practice these little dances. Is there an actual scheduled training session practicing dance drills? Is there a hired choreographer? How do they decide which one to do when? Are they named like secret play calls?

This was a feature on Bynum. Pretty funny stuff.

Yay. Now the celebrations after a tackle or pass break up, or my personal least favorite when the WR drops it or QB throws it to nobody and the CB acts like he did something, all deserve a penalty and shaming in the public square.

The Vikings players have about 400 things to work on that are more important than coordinated dance routines.

The Vikings hard ass mentality on home games in winter were fine if not somewhat legendary, but …

Players have to be loose and not wound so tight that they fail to improvise. Grant lost 4 Super Bowls in 10 years scoring a combined 34 points in 4 games. That is under 10 points a game. The four competitors scored a total of 95 points so not epic defensive battles on both sides … So not one game was lost by a touchdown or less. Sad really.

but i agree with bigwerm….some of those celebrations after a defensive play are stupid…….only hoping they get burnt on the next play!!!!!

I surprise they haven’t been flagged for excessive celebration.

The NFL lets players celebrate with creative celebrations because the majority of the fans like them. Who doesn’t like to watch JJ dance the griddy after he scores a touchdown? I sure do.

I do not like it when a team is down by 106, they sack the QB and do a dance like they just won the SB.

Not a fan of any excessive celebration but I prefer the group cellies over the ones where an individual completely ignores his group of teammates standing right next to him that want to dap him up.
