Yamaha T9.9 Kicker Motor Prop?

I’ve got a Yamaha T9.9 (high thrust) kicker on my 19′ Skeeter deep-v. It appears these come standard with a “Dual Thrust” prop: large 11 3/4″ diameter with a low pitch, apparently designed for both forward thrust and reverse thrust.

I exclusively troll for muskies where forward speed and control are the most important aspects, and don’t ever backtroll.

Would I be better off trying out a different prop? Maybe something with a smaller diameter but more aggressive pitch? I’d also prefer something that isn’t painted white.

What are your experiences and suggestions?

I don’t know about which prop will work or not. As far as the color goes, sand with 100 grit sandpaper, prime and paint to the color of your liking.
