With boats in such high demand you may have to settle for a dealer that has one in stock. I ordered a new boat this year with a yamaha and decided later to max out the hp (boats not in yet) and was told the motor was on back order until august so I’m just sticking with what I originally ordered.
X2
I have closer dealers to my home but make the over hour drive. Treat you like they actually want your business. Best price and service I have found. I have re-motored two boats there, 60hp and 115hp.

Good to hear that about LaCannes. That’s where I ordered my boat from and it’s 2.5hrs one way for me
I bought a new 25hp Yamaha at the Boat Center in Ramsey about 18 month ago and am happy with it. Close to home for me also. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Hannay’s or LaCannes either. I am hearing that motors are very hard to come by right now and even know a smaller dealer that has boats or pontoons without being able to get motors right now, so like Stanley said it might be take what you can get right now.
Bought my boat there and my brother bought his there, 4hr drive each way for us. Both boats were used and the service and price was the best we have found. Even with any questions we had post sale when we were home
I’ve been very happy with Dan’s Southside Marine. Ask for Randy. Aluma Craft – Yamaha – Suzuki
Randy sold me my first boat. Decent guy. Service department there is ok too. Pray you never have a problem with your boat you need to work out with Dan
I think it’s a tough time to get anything. I’m getting a new rig and wanted to upgrade motors as well with no luck also wasnt able to get all the electronics I wanted either until August.
