Guys
My outboard wouldn’t rev up beyond about 2300 rpm. After checking fuel, plugs, fuel filter, etc. I found that the linkage to the ignition advance had become disconnected. After hooking it back up I found that the motor would rev up, but I am wondering if I got it set right as it is very unlikely the jam nut hadn’t moved while disconnected. The plastic connector also appears to have split. Anyone know anything about this condition and / or how to properly adjust?
