I have a 2003 Yamaha F80 fourstroke tiller. At low idle it runs rough and appears to be missing. Add just a little rpm’s and it purrs all the way to wot. Doesn’t matter if it’s in neutral or in gear. I just changed plugs but didnt fix the issue. Thoughts?

taking a stab in the dark, sounds like the idle fuel mix is either rich or a bit lean.
they are sensitive to valve adjustment for starters,a couple of thousands of an inch can make a big difference on them.
the little yammies are known for coking the rings and valves if idled too long and it will need de-coked.
several ways to accomplish this, high powered solvent like starthon, run the living snot out of it for a couple of hours,or worst case scenario, pull it apart and clean the ring lands, valve stems/seats/faces,these are last resort of course.

if I can be of further help pm me,its been awhile anyway !!
