Yamaha 9.9 Kicker

    I bought a low hr used Yamaha 9.9 high thrust kicker for my boat. Its a manual lift and not a power tilt and trim. I don’t have it mounted yet and it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to trailer it In the down position. It says in the manual not to trailer it using the lift lock. What’s the best way to keep the motor in the up position while trailering?

    Probably get a transom saver to hold it up.

    If it is not a true kicker with the heavy duty mount be careful in rough water.

    I am not sure what the difference is? How could one tell if it’s the heavy duty bracket or not?
