Just looking for opinions on a new prop for a 2003 Yamaha 75hp 4 stroke. I am thinking about going with aluminum but I am not sure on what type of pitch to go with. Any suggestions?

You need to know your current prop specs (number of blades, pitch, and maybe diameter makes a small difference) and what your RPMs are at wide open throttle. Is there a particular issue you are trying to solve with the prop such as getting on plane faster or higher top speed?

Went stainless on mine a couple of summers ago. Still gets the same performance as I didnt change anything with the prop. Biggest difference is Im not sending it in a time or two a year for repairs. Worth the extra money right there for me. Bought mine through PropMD.

I called the local Yamaha dealer in Fargo and they said a 13.5″ diameter with a 15″ pitch is what is recommended by them.
