With Crappies being my favorite fish I had to squirt up a couple. I’ll be picking one from each of the sunfish and perch lots to go with one from these crappies to make up a display for our County Fair in late July and if things go well there, the State Fair will be the next stop for them.
Its been a ton of fun painting these guys.

I used a gold thinned way down and just a smidge of yellow added to put a thin coat across the sides after the white and pearl undercoats were dry. That helps bring out the yellowish cast that live crappies have across their sides.
