So, after freezing my nuggets right off on sunday, Ive decided to get serious about a flip shelter, and was wondering if anyone knows… is it possible to put a bench seat on an otter xt pro cottage? I found a smooth deal on a pro, but obviously it comes with a single bucket and I sometimes have a junior co-pilot with me who is still small enough to eat free at the buffet. I am thinking this sled option in the interest in keeping things light since I’m pulling by hand… 82 lbs for the pro cottage vs 95 for the cabin xt.

    Opines?

Yes you can put a bench in the cottage. You can get one from Otter. I have a brand new XT PRO 1200 Cottage with hyfax and cover that’s never been on the ice. I’m going to put it up for sale. I just got the lodge and I need room. Hate to give it away. If your interested $550.00 with cover and hyfax installed.

I fish two out of the cottage all the time, I just being along a metal folding chair and move th4 otter seat all the way to one side. It’s a tight fit but it works, even have room for the otter caddy to be between us

I use two Otter flip seats in my Cottage when needed, would be tight but doable with two large adults, but fine with an adult and child.

    hmm…
flying in the face of “ounces equal pounds, and pounds equal pain”…
is it worth the extra 10 pounds to just go with the cabin and get the extra space of a full 2 man?

it’s a 21 lb difference in addition to being 4 inches wider and 12 inches longer, the added width makes it harder to pull by hand…I had a Cabin for 3 years before downsizing to a Cottage, if you fish by yourself alot, then the Cottage is just fine…I also downsized so eveything (ATV and Cottage would all fit on my trailer at the same time)
