Xi5 Anchor Lock kicking out

    Hey guys, I thought of posting this in one of the other MG posts but decided to start one of my own.

    I have an 80# 24v Xi5 that came on the boat I purchased last Fall. I have been using the Anchor Mode this Spring crappie fishing and have been running into issues where the Anchor Mode kicks out the motor completely. This has happened sporadically and is tough to notice when I’ve been in the back of the boat.

    Any stuff I should look at for troubleshooting? Thanks in advance for any tips or help.

    So you end up drifting off the spot when this happens?
    On the 3rd season with mine. If there isn’t much wind or current then I have noticed it has some difficulty identifying small movements. Not sure if that’s the case for you though.
    Overall it’s been rock solid.

    Was the mounting angle calibration ever done? Not sure if this
    will solve the issue, but it is recommended.

    Contact Motorguide there was a software update that addressed this
