WX2200 Battery Question

    I have a 2022 2200 on order… Coming from a 17 WX2060, is the battery Compartment comparable?

I am trying to get 5 batteries in. 3 Amped Outdoors Lithiums and 2 Odyssey Group 31’s with a Power Pole Charge charger. With the amount of electronics and electrical I run I would rather be safe than sorry.

Anyone tried or have gotten 5 batteries in one?

I actually might run a separate battery just for my electronics on its own charger. Still haven’t decided.

Barely fits 4, in fact if they haven’t changed anything, you would be wise to have them move the battery trays all the way forward on your initial setup. There was room to move mine forward about 2″, and had to pay to have that done last year after replacing the starting battery they installed with a Odyssey 31 series. Reason being I could not see the charger, its lights, or access the buttons with where they initially set the trays. If I had known about this before they set the boat up, would have been part of the normal setup. Also, even though they originally added a 6 port elec terminal on the initial setup to help with so many wires going to the battery, I had them add a second when they moved the trays as I still had a bunch of wires going to the starting battery and I wanted that cleaned up further. I can now see the charger, the lights, and just get at the buttons. One positive thing for you is, while they upgraded my locator wiring to 10ga, from the stock 12ga for me, I’m pretty sure all new boats with 200 hp and up this year are coming with 8ga wiring standard from the factory. My son has ordered a new 2060, and hopefully its a nice new wiring setup. You are going to have to give up part of a compartment if you want a 5th battery unless something has changed. I just installed a Helix 15 and was worried about the power draw. Set the brightness on 9, and haven’t had any issues.

I am also curious if anyone has been able to successfully fit 5 batteries in the battery compartment. I own a 20 2200 and plan to explore this option over the winter.

I have had to use my jump pack a few times this year.

Justin Schneider sent me a text last night and says he has 5 in his and would send me a pic. I know he is running 2 odyssey 34’s. Maybe he’ll post it up on this thread.

34’s are small batteries I think. I was referring to 31’s. Doing some things on my boat now, so I took a pic.

I have a 2023 WX2200 now and have 5 battery trays in mine. was plenty of room to move trays and add one in these new boats. Not sure if I am going to actually run 5 as I have 4 in for now, but I have it set up for 5 trays and had a 5 bank charger installed just in case. I actually think I could’ve fit 6 trays. All 31 series trays
