A guide I use just picked up a fresh 2013 rig, and doesn’t fish “big” water, but frequently will have 3 clients plus himself in the boat. Overall, what prop tends to work best for this combination?

    Thanks, HRG

I would think a 19 pitch in similar design as a tempest plus prop. In the overall big picture, no prop can make up for insufficient horsepower.

I would say either a 15 or 17 and add an edge plate. We have ran mostly turbo 1’s on the 2000t’s if not the factory prop.

For what it’s worth, lesser HP will hit trees at lower speeds when WOT…. crazy
