Any real world experience with either of these? I’m looking to fit into a standard 7′ door if possible. I do have access to a shop with a 14′ door…but would rather avoid the 4 miles of gravel if possible.
TIA.

2019 and earlier, maybe, it will be close. 2020 or 2021 and later, I’m sure it won’t fit. They changed the trailer height in either 2020 or 2021 for sure. Boat sits higher on trailer now by 2 to 3 inches. On my 2019 you can not trim engine down to straight up and down running
position without hitting floor. I have to raise engine on jackplate to trim engine straight up and down. Newer boats, engine will clear floor by about 2 inches at standard running height. My son has ordered a new 2060, and last year when I measured one they had on the floor, the windshield was too high to clear his 7′ high garage door. Took them a while to change their specks on the web, they were about 4″ off in 2020. I do know that the 2021 I measured on the floor, with front jacket and all the way down, was a half inch too high for his 7′ door.
2020 catalog says the 2060 is 81.5′, but the 1910 is actually 83′ max height with a windshield, so the 1910 is taller than the 2060. 7″ door is cutting it close imo, wouldn’t take much of a lip in the slab entering the garage to cause clearance issues.
Keep in mind that on some boats the engine cowling can be higher than the windshield.
I used to own Lund 186 Tyee. I had to trim the Verado down to clear a seven foot door (which was actually like 6′ 11″ with trim). The windshield was never a problem.
Also keep in mind hitch height will play a role. A lower hitch will raise the outboard height and lower the windshield. A higher hitch height will do the opposite.
If your driveway approach is coming up or down a grade your relative door height will change as well.
I’ve heard of guys going with a lower profile tire and a lower hitch to clear doors before. And/or installing a jackplate to lower the main even more.
When I built my new garage I put in a 14′ high door so I would never have to worry about that crap ever again
I can get the Grady in with a hardtop and radar with a couple feet to spare lol
I’ve got a 2016 wx1910….my windshield clears the garage door by about 2 inches. I have to trim the motor down until it’s resting on the rams or else it would hit.
2019 WX 2060 goes in a 7′ high door. I have to trim motor down before entry and the windshield clearance scares newcomers.
Thanks for the replies guys. I currently have an Alumacraft Trophy and also need to trim the motor down. I’ve only got 2″ of clearance with it as well…so I was hoping a WX would be similar. It might be worth looking at raising the header and putting in an 8′ door. I’ve got the room…just wanted to avoid if possible.
Anyone else think it should be against the law to install any garage door that is less then 8 foot tall and 12 foot wide? Those 9 ft wide single doors they put on third stalls are so dumb…. We’re in the land of lakes and many have boats. Almost all modern boat trailers are 8.5 ft wide. If you’re lucky, you have 2 inches to play with on either side of the boat when backing in…….

I’d never buy a house with 7′ tall garage doors or narrow doors without a budgeted plan to make changes from the beginning.
Our garage has 3 stalls with a 10′ wide x 8′ tall door on the third stall and an 18′ x 8′ door on the double side. This is the bare minimum I’d advise building/buying.
