Remington, two completely different approaches and hulls. Aside from personal bias, drive them both and your answer will be well informed based on your experience vs someones opinion.

We do have a 1910 ready to drive anytime, we did test drives this week actually.

I helped my Dad go through the buying process two years ago and these were the models we compared. Both are great boats. He chose the WX1910. Both models are rated for 200 hp and the Skeeter performs better with a 200. New ZV19s are rated for 225. We prefer no carpet on the floor so Skeeter has the edge with snap in carpet. With a $100 modification, the Skeeter has a nice travel cover which is important to my Dad. Jump seats on the Skeeter help keep the cockpit more open. I wish the Skeeter had a large built in cooler like the Nitro, but we have a couple soft side coolers that we use instead. I haven’t driven the Nitro in rough water, but I feel comfortable driving the 1910 in any conditions I would drive a 20’ boat.

Dean, I am very interested in the wx1910 and have been working with Charlie on trying to figure out a time to do a test drive. Very impressed with the bot and your team at TBC, just seeing if it would be worth looking into the zv18 as well based of other people’s opinions.

Most certainly Remington ! This is a great source to do that…. but I try to remind folks that opinions are like hind ends, everyone has one but ultimately, you are the one paying for the boat not them !!!! :]

As Dean said two totally different hulls and it is a good idea to try and drive both. I had both boats on my radar and was dead set on the ZV18 last year. I test drove one then a 1910 and actually a 2060. The skeeter feels so much more agile and sporty where the ZV18/19 feels like a fat tank. One thing I will say is the weight of that ZV makes it wave crusher. But the WX isn’t far behind.

I like the storage better on the ZV18, but the 18/19 feel more cramped. Like fife said, the pull out carpet is great in the skeeter to give you the bare floor. I love being able to pull it out and just wash a floor.

I absolutely hate the windshields on the ZV boats. They’re set back to far and I am tall so I feel like I am always looking at the top portion, where the WX I am down in the cockpit more and have better coverage. I feel like I stay more dry.

I like the rod storage on both but my nod goes to skeeter because I can put my trolling rods in the side storage and not have to fight to get them out.

Either way both boats are good and you can’t go wrong. I personally like the Skeeter more. I should have stayed out of the 2060 because I decided the 2060 was better than the 1910 haha. If I had to stick with you options though, I personally am choosing the 1910.

BTW the 1910 is faster as well. The new 225 on the ZV19 which is the same boat as the ZV18 just re-badged I think that would be faster now.

The other thing I look at is Customer Service. Dean and the crew at The Boat Center are top notch and I honestly don’t think I would buy anywhere else.

I went through this process last year and ended up with a WX2190. There are two things that skeeter has that sold me. The first is a high windshield that is more upright. I’m 6′ tall and every boat I have owned, my line of sight is right at the trim piece at the top of the windshield. With the skeeter I actually look through the windshield. With the more upright windshield you have more space for larger electronics.

The other thing is the React Keel. The wind simply doesn’t blow the front end around making these boats much easier to control in the wind.

    What would that be?

After looking at both I went with the WX 1910 also, and it was actually a pretty easy decision. At the time Skeeter gave me jump seats, snap in carpet, and side gunnel rod storage. I really really disliked the cramped little cockpit space between the driver seats and rear deck of the Nitro. Also, every Nitro I tested had compartment lids that were nearly impossible to open without using excessive force, they were just poorly fitted. The Nitro looked really high on the trailer to me and I was concerned about its functionality at shallow water ramps. The build quality really stuck out to me as well, the Skeeter just looked more solid and all the little things in the interior just seemed better in the Skeeter. The 1910 was also priced a little better. At 200 hp the Skeeter is faster and it has Yamaha power. The things I liked about the Nitro I added to the Skeeter – front trolling motor pedal tray and rear casting deck seat base. Hope this helps.
