    Looking for used low profile Muskie Reel. Would ideally like to find one of the following :

    Old Shimano Curado 301
    Abu Garcia Revo Beast
    Tranx 301 or 401
    Diawa Prorex or Lexa

    It sure would be nice to find a used one for sale. I will have to say the Shimano Tranx TRX401A that I purchased sure is a nice reel. I used my 20 + year old Shimano Curado CU201 as a 3rd reel on my Canada trip. Boy what Id give to find a few of those new in a box sitting someplace. If you ask me those where one if not the best reel ever made. I could not tell you how many newer reels I’ve burned up in the 20+ year I’ve had 2 of these old green reels. Never done a thing to them other than lubed them. They just keep going and going. It will be a sad day for me when they die. I’d really like to find one of those in the 300 size. That would be a ideal find.

    100% agree fishthumper. I still have 2 greenies that I keep on my main baitcasting setups (non muskie). Those reels have outlasted so many other ones. It would be so cool if Shimano would bring them back just the way they were. Call it a retro kick back with a higher price tag and I would not be able to get my wallet out fast enough.
